OPTIMIZATION OF CONDITION FOR METHYL PHEOPHORBIDE A FORMATION AND CONVERSION TO CHLORIN E6
Chlorin e6 is a stable chlorophyll derivative and can be used in photodynamic therapy (PDT) to treat cancer. One of the synthetic pathways of chlorin e6 is via the transformation of chlorophyll a to methyl pheophorbide a.

Adaptive Genomic Divergence Across Altitudes in Capsella bursa‐pastoris
Genomic divergence was observed between high‐altitude and low‐altitude populations of Capsella bursa‐pastoris in China, consistent with an important role of ecological factors. Candidate adaptive loci associated with enhanced energy metabolism, photoprotection, and growth plasticity under altitudinal stress were identified.

Effects of vinyl substitutions on resonance Raman spectra of (bacterio)chlorophylls [PDF]
Soret resonance and Qy preresonance Raman spectra are reported and compared for a series of (bacterio)chlorophylls. Chlorophyll a, 2-acetylchlorophyll a, bacteriochlorophyll a and 2-vinylbacteriochlorophyll a were studied in the non-protic solvent ...

ABSTRACT Cyanobacterial harmful algal blooms (cyanoHABs) threaten human, animal, and ecosystem health and safety through production of toxic secondary metabolites. Microcystis, a cosmopolitan bloom‐forming cyanobacterial genus, is well‐known for producing hepatotoxic microcystins (MCs), but it can produce many other bioactive cyanopeptides, such as ...
