The impact of olefin backbone substitution in N‐heterocyclic olefin‐substituted phosphines is investigated. While these ligands are highly electron‐donating, their catalytic activity in Pd‐catalyzed CN cross‐coupling reactions decreases as the size of the backbone substituent increases.

N,N,N-Tris(diphenylphosphorylmethyl)amine
The structure of N,N,N-tris(diphenylphosphorylmethyl)amine, C39H36NO3P3, at 103 K has monoclinic (P21/c) symmetry. Two molecules, each with pseudo-threefold rotation symmetry, crystallize in the asymmetric unit of the monoclinic unit cell.

Towards the fabrication of phosphorus qubits for a silicon quantum computer
The quest to build a quantum computer has been inspired by the recognition of the formidable computational power such a device could offer. In particular silicon-based proposals, using the nuclear or electron spin of dopants as qubits, are attractive due

Deazaflavin‐Catalyzed Arylation of White Phosphorus with Aryl Bromides and Chlorides
The 5‐aryldeazaflavin photocatalyst o‐Me‐dFl catalyzes the arylation of white phosphorus with aryl chlorides and bromides under near UV‐LED irradiation, affording triarylphosphines and tetraarylphosphonium salts. Nuclear magnetic resonance studies and density functional theory calculations offer insights into the reaction pathway.

Simple and selective. The electrochemical heterofunctionalization of activated tropones is achieved using readily available inorganic salts. A theoretical model, based on cyclic voltammetry and quantum chemistry calculations, predicts both reactivity trends and site selectivity.

Palladium-Catalyzed C-H Functionalization and Flame-Retardant Properties of Isophosphinolines
C-H activation is a powerful strategy for forming C-C bonds without the need for prefunctionalization. In this paper, we present a general, direct, and regioselective palladium-catalyzed functionalization of a phosphorus heterocycle, 2-phenyl-1H ...

Oxygen plasma resistant phosphine oxide containing imide/arylene copolymers [PDF]
A series of oxygen plasma resistant imide/arylene ether copolymers were prepared by reacting anhydride-terminated poly(amide acids) and amine-terminated polyarylene ethers containing phosphine oxide units. Inherent viscosities for these copolymers ranged
