Tunnelling splitting in the phosphine molecule [PDF]

open access: yesJ. Chem. Phys. 145, 091102 (2016), 2016
Splitting due to tunnelling via the potential energy barrier has played a significant role in the study of molecular spectra since the early days of spectroscopy. The observation of the ammonia doublet led to attempts to find a phosphine analogous, but these have so far failed due to its considerably higher barrier.

Phosphonate–Phosphinate Rearrangement

open access: yesThe Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2015
LiTMP metalated dimethyl N-Boc-phosphoramidates derived from 1-phenylethylamine and 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalen-1-ylamine highly selectively at the CH3O group to generate short-lived oxymethyllithiums. These isomerized to diastereomeric hydroxymethylphosphonamidates (phosphate–phosphonate rearrangement).

Stoichiometric and Catalytic Synthesis of Alkynylphosphines

open access: yesMolecules, 2012
Alkynylphosphines or their borane complexes are available either through C–P bond forming reactions or through modification of the phosphorus or the alkynyl function of various alkynyl phosphorus derivatives.

ExoMol line lists VII: The rotation-vibration spectrum of phosphine up to 1500 K [PDF]

open access: yesMon. Not. R. astr. Soc., 446, 2337-2347 (2015), 2014
A comprehensive hot line list is calculated for $^{31}$PH$_3$ in its ground electronic state. This line list, called SAlTY, contains almost 16.8 billion transitions between 7.5 million energy levels and it is suitable for simulating spectra up to temperatures of 1500~K.

Carvone-Derived P-Stereogenic Phosphines: Design, Synthesis, and Use in Allene-Imine [3 + 2] Annulation.

open access: yesACS Catalysis, 2018
We have prepared a previously unreported family of P-stereogenic [2.2.1] bicyclic chiral phosphines through straightforward syntheses starting from the natural product carvone.

Architecture and synthesis of P,N-heterocyclic phosphine ligands

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2020
Diverse P,N-phosphine ligands reported to date have performed exceptionally well as auxiliary ligands in organometallic catalysis. Phosphines bearing 2-pyridyl moieties prominently feature in literature as compared to phosphines with five-membered N ...

Venus, Phosphine and the Possibility of Life [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
The search for life elsewhere in the universe is one of the central aims of science in the 21st century. While most of this work is aimed at planets orbiting other stars, the search for life in our own Solar System is an important part of this endeavour.

Re-analysis of the 267-GHz ALMA observations of Venus: No statistically significant detection of phosphine [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Context: ALMA observations of Venus at 267 GHz have been presented in the literature that show the apparent presence of phosphine (PH3) in its atmosphere. Phosphine has currently no evident production routes on the planet's surface or in its atmosphere.

Expanding the scope of ligand substitution from [M(S2C2Ph2] (M = Ni2+, Pd2+, Pt2+) to afford new heteroleptic dithiolene complexes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The scope of direct substitution of the dithiolene ligand from [M(S2C2Ph2)2] [M = Ni2+ (1), Pd2+ (2), Pt2+ (3)] to produce heteroleptic species [M(S2C2Ph2)2Ln] (n = 1, 2) has been broadened to include isonitriles and dithiooxamides in addition to ...
