PRELIVE: A Framework for Predicting Lipid Nanoparticles In Vivo Efficacy and Reducing Reliance on Animal Testing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
PREdicting LNP In Vivo Efficacy (PRELIVE) framework enables the prediction of lipid nanoparticle (LNPs) organ‐specific delivery through dual modeling approaches. Composition‐based models using formulation parameters and protein corona‐based models using biological fingerprints both achieve high predictive accuracy across multiple organs.

MALDI imaging MS of phospholipids in the mouse lung[S]

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2011
Lipid mediators are important in lung biochemistry and are derived from the enzymatic oxidation of arachidonic and docosahexaenoic acids, which are PUFAs that are present in phospholipids in cell membranes.

Nano‐ and Micro‐Sized Solid Materials Used as Antiviral Agents

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Due to the rise of viral infections in humans and possible viral outbreaks, the use of nano‐ or micro‐sized materials as antiviral agents is rapidly increasing. This review explores their antiviral properties against RNA and DNA viruses, either as a prevention or a treatment tool, by delving into their mechanisms of action and how to properly assess ...

Quantitative analysis of phospholipids by 31P-NMR.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1988
High-field 31P nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy was used to quantitate phospholipids in mixtures in organic solvents. The sample is dissolved in chloroform-methanol and analyzed at 161.7 MHz with decoupling of the protons.

Connexin channels and phospholipids: association and modulation

open access: yesBMC Biology, 2009
Background For membrane proteins, lipids provide a structural framework and means to modulate function. Paired connexin hemichannels form the intercellular channels that compose gap junction plaques while unpaired hemichannels have regulated functions in
