Light reflectance increases along incidence angle and transmittance significantly drops around 90‐degree incidence angle. Here, we report two‐photon laser printed micro mirrors that redirect the skimming light beam into normal light absorption. Using this technique, light‐driven micro walkers and grippers are demonstrated by using grazing incidence ...

Reversible low-light induced photoswitching of crowned spiropyran-DO3A complexed with gadolinium(III) ions. [PDF]
Photoswitchable spiropyran has been conjugated to the crowned ring system DO3A, which improves its solubility in dipolar and polar media and stabilizes the merocyanine isomer. Adding the lanthanide ion gadolinium(III) to the macrocyclic ring system leads

Photoswitchable NIR‐Emitting Gold Nanoparticles [PDF]
AbstractPhoto‐switching of the NIR emission of gold nanoparticles (GNP) upon photo‐isomerization of azobenzene ligands, bound to the surface, is demonstrated. Photophysical results confirm the occurrence of an excitation energy transfer process from the ligands to the GNP that produces sensitized NIR emission.

A single object with dual properties – degradable and non‐degradable – is fabricated in a single print simply by switching the printing colors. The advanced multi‐material printing is enabled by the combination of a fully wavelength‐orthogonal photoresin and a monochromatic tunable laser printer, paving the way for precise multi‐material ...

Density functional theoretical studies on photoswitching and charge migration dynamics of thio and selenoureidopeptides [PDF]
Density functional theoretical calculations have been performed to investigate the changes in electronic structure at ground and excited states of ureidopeptides on substitution with higher chalcogens like sulphur and selenium for oxygen.

Photoswitchable Sexithiophene-Based Molecular Wires [PDF]
Photochromic sexithiophenes were prepared by oxidative electrochemical coupling of terthiophenes. The redox properties in the open state are typical of sexithiophenes. Ring closure of both photochromic units leads to a decrease in the energy of the LUMO orbitals with little affect on the energy of the HOMO orbitals.
