Effects of monomer compositions on physicochemical properties of composite resins

Journal of Adhesion Science and Technology, 2017
AbstractThe aim of this study was to evaluate the cohesive strength (CS), surface roughness (Ra), and weight loss (WL) of different composite resins. Three composite resins (Filtek Z100; Filtek Z350; Filtek P90, 3M ESPE) were tested. To evaluate CS, an hourglass silicone mold (11 × 2 × 1 mm) was used (n = 10). The Ra and WL tests were performed using a

Physicochemical properties of (CH3)2NH2Cl–Al2O3 composites

Russian Journal of Electrochemistry, 2017
Composite solid electrolytes were synthesized from the organic salt dimethylammonium chloride (1–x)C2H8NCl–xAl2O3. Their physicochemical properties were studied. In the starting C2H8NCl salt, there is a phase transition at 39°C accompanied by an increase in conductivity by two orders of magnitude. The conductivity of the high-temperature phase is 9.3 ×

PbO2-TiO2 composites: Electrosynthesis and physicochemical properties

Russian Journal of Applied Chemistry, 2008
Fundamental aspects of electro deposition of PbO2-based composites containing titanium dioxide particles were studied. The content of the dispersed phase in the composite depends on the electrolyte composition and deposition conditions. Incorporation of titanium dioxide particles into PbO2 leads to significant changes in the morphology and structure of

Composition and Physicochemical Properties of Cobalt Molybdophosphates

Russian Journal of Applied Chemistry, 2003
Cobalt molybdophosphates were synthesized. The composition of the compounds was confirmed by IR spectral, thermogravimetric, X-ray phase, and atomic-emission analyses. The influence of the composition on the thermochromic properties of the compounds was demonstrated.

The physicochemical properties of polyindole/thiol composites

Synthetic Metals, 2003
We synthesized the polyindole (PI) and poly(2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole) (pDMcT) by chemical oxidation method. The polymerization of PI and pDMcT was confirmed by FT-IR. We have measured the electrochemical properties of the unit cell both before and after charge/discharge experiment.

Physicochemical Properties of Modified Polyester-Polyvinylchloride Compositions

Materials Science, 2017
We study the physicochemical regularities of the modification of unsaturated polyester resins by polyvinylchloride in the presence of diesterphthalate plasticizers. The effect of the component composition on the specific features of morphological changes and the nature of intermolecular interactions in the modified polyester compositions is analyzed ...

Study of physicochemical properties of nanohydroxyapatite–chitosan composites

Bulletin of Materials Science, 2020
Hydroxyapatite nanoparticles were synthesized using modified sol–gel approach. Its biocompatibility was proved by in vitro experiments with diploid fibroblasts. The experiment showed that the presence of hydroxyapatite in the environment of cells does not reduce their viability.

Physicochemical Properties of Soy Protein: Effects of Subunit Composition

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2011
Soy protein elastomer (SPE) exhibits elastic, extensible, and sticky properties in its native state and displays great potential as an alternative to wheat gluten. The objective of this study was to better understand the roles of soy protein subunits (polypeptides) contributing to the functional properties of SPE. Six soy protein samples with different

Physicochemical properties of gelatin/silver nanoparticle antimicrobial composite films

Food Chemistry, 2014
Active nanocomposite films were prepared by blending aqueous solutions of gelatin with different concentrations of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using a solvent casting method. Formation of silver nanoparticles in the solution and films was confirmed with the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) band at 400-450 nm, measured by UV-vis absorption spectroscopy.
