TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

$K(π,1)$ conjecture for Artin groups

open access: yes, 2012
The purpose of this paper is to put together a large amount of results on the $K(π,1)$ conjecture for Artin groups, and to make them accessible to non-experts. Firstly, this is a survey, containing basic definitions, the main results, examples and an historical overview of the subject.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Discovery and validation of frameshift-derived neopeptides in Lynch syndrome: paving the way for novel cancer prevention strategies

open access: yesJournal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer
Background Lynch syndrome (LS), caused by germline pathogenic variants in the mismatch repair genes, leads to high rates of frameshift-derived neopeptide (FSDN) expression due to microsatellite instability (MSI).

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Observation of the D-1(2420) -> D pi(+)pi(-) decays [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We report on the first observation of D-1(0)(2420)-> D(0)pi(-)pi(+) and D-1(+)(2420)-> D(+)pi(-)pi(+) decays (where the contribution from the dominant known D-1-> D(*)pi decay mode is excluded) in the B--> D(1)(0)pi(-) and (B) over bar (0)-> D(1)(+)pi(-)
