Peritoneal carcinomatosis is a hard‐to‐treat spread of abdominal cancers that often returns after therapy. Nanoparticles were developed to retain an immune‐boosting drug in the abdomen. When combined with chemotherapy in mice, this approach eliminated tumors in many cases and prevented recurrence, helping the immune system mount a stronger, longer ...

Ratiometric Mycotoxin Detection in Living Plants With Dual‐Emissive Nanosensors
A minimally invasive microneedle patch integrates carbon dot‐embedded metal–organic frameworks as nanosensors to detect a key fungal toxin in living plants. The nanosensor produces a ratiometric fluorescence signal that enables early, non‐destructive diagnosis of fungal infection before visible symptoms, offering a new biomaterials‐based strategy for ...

4-(Dimethylamino)pyridinium tetrachlorido(pyridine-2-carboxylato-κ2N,O)stannate(IV)
The reaction of 4-(dimethylamino)pyridine, picolinic acid and stannic chloride yields the title salt, (C7H11N2)[SnCl4(C6H4NO2)], in which the SnIV atom is N,O-chelated by the picolinate ion in a cis-SnNOCl4 octahedral geometry.

Nanocellulose, derived from microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) through sulfuric acid hydrolysis or mechanical grinding to produce CNC or CNF, was tested in a rat ICP model. Particularly, CNF improved gut microbiota composition, reduced secondary bile acid metabolism, and restored bile acid homeostasis through modulation of the gut–liver axis.

H‐bond‐mediated aglycone delivery method has been applied to the synthesis of glucosamine glycosides. ABSTRACT Controlling stereoselectivity of glycosylation reactions remains one of the central challenges in synthetic carbohydrate chemistry. In this study, we explore the impact of O‐picoloyl (Pico) protecting group positioning on the stereoselectivity

Discovery of Ligands for the TNFR1 Extracellular Domain Using Fragment‐Based Drug Discovery
The tumor necrosis factor receptor 1 (TNFR1) plays a major role in immunoregulation. We explored TNFR1 as a small‐molecule drug target using fragment‐based drug discovery. We found a picolinic acid fragment hit and characterized its binding mode in the extracellular domain of TNFR1.

Highly sensitive analysis of sterol profiles in human serum by LC-ESI-MS/MSs⃞
We have developed a highly sensitive and specific method for the analysis of serum sterol profiles. Sterols in 1 μl of dried serum were derivatized into picolinyl esters (3β-picolinate) and analyzed by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC ...

ABSTRACT Pine polyphenols (PP), a natural compound with potent antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, and gut microbiota‐modulating activities, exhibit therapeutic potential for diet‐based therapies. However, their effects on the intestinal barrier function and microbiota, as well as the underlying mechanisms, remain unclear.
