4-(Dimethylamino)pyridinium tetrachlorido(pyridine-2-carboxylato-κ2N,O)stannate(IV)

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2012
The reaction of 4-(dimethylamino)pyridine, picolinic acid and stannic chloride yields the title salt, (C7H11N2)[SnCl4(C6H4NO2)], in which the SnIV atom is N,O-chelated by the picolinate ion in a cis-SnNOCl4 octahedral geometry.

Origin and characterization of cyclodepsipeptides: Comprehensive structural approaches with focus on mass spectrometry analysis of alkali‐cationized molecular species

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, Volume 44, Issue 6, Page 1013-1098, November/December 2025.
Abstract Cyclodepsipeptides (CDPs) represent a huge family of chemically and structurally diverse molecules with a wide ability for molecular interactions. CDPs are cyclic peptide‐related natural products made up of both proteinogenic and nonproteinogenic amino acids linked by amide and ester bonds.

LMCT‐Driven Iron Photocatalysis: Mechanistic Insights and Synthetic Applications

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 31, Issue 58, October 16, 2025.
LMCT‐driven iron photocatalysis: This review discusses recent developments in ligand‐to‐metal charge transfer (LMCT)‐driven iron photocatalysis, emphasizing mechanistic insights and diverse synthetic applications. By classifying Fe(III)–L bond homolysis pathways, it highlights iron's potential as a sustainable alternative to precious metals for radical‐

Carboxylic Solvents and O-Donor Ligand Effects on CH Activation by Pt(II) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We report on the design of more efficient C−H activation catalysts based on DFT calculations. The first examples of well-defined, N,O-donor ligated platinum complexes that are competent for fast C−H activation are detailed.

Highly sensitive analysis of sterol profiles in human serum by LC-ESI-MS/MSs⃞

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2008
We have developed a highly sensitive and specific method for the analysis of serum sterol profiles. Sterols in 1 μl of dried serum were derivatized into picolinyl esters (3β-picolinate) and analyzed by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC ...

RPL6 Interacts with HMGCS1 to Stabilize HIF‐1α by Promoting Cholesterol Production in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 38, October 13, 2025.
The study found that RPL6 is frequently upregulated in HCC tissues with extrahepatic metastasis. Elevated RPL6 bound to and increased the stability of HMGCS1 mRNA, thereby enhancing intracellular cholesterol levels. Subsequently, increased cholesterol promotes cancer metastasis in HCC by stabilizing HIF‐1α protein.

Método de la microgota: usado con agar cromogénico es un procedimiento útil para el monitoreo sanitario en acuicultura [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Indexación: Web of Science, Scielo. The microdot method is a downscaling methodology of traditional tenfold serial dilution procedure used in microbiology. The microdot method uses 100 mu L for serial dilution and count colonies in a spot of 10 mu L.

Association between prediagnostic serum metabolites and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma risk in two prospective cohorts

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 157, Issue 7, Page 1304-1315, 1 October 2025.
What's New? Exposures and mechanisms that contribute to and promote pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) remain unclear. In this study, the authors applied metabolomics to better understand PDAC etiology by examining associations between prediagnostic serum metabolites and PDAC risk.

Vanadyl complexes with dansyl-labelled dipicolinic acid ligands: synthesis, phosphatase inhibition activity and cellular uptake studies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Vanadium complexes have been previously utilised as potent inhibitors of cysteine based phosphatases (CBPs). Herein, we present the synthesis and characterisation of two new fluorescently labelled vanadyl complexes (14 and 15) with bridged di-picolinic ...

Diaquabis(picolinato N-oxide-κ2O,O′)zinc(II)

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2008
In the title compound, [Zn(C6H4NO3)2(H2O)2], the Zn atom is located on a centre of inversion and shows a distorted octahedral coordination geometry. Two aqua ligands occupy the axial positions and four O atoms of the two chelating picolinic acid N-oxide ...
