Active Metamaterials with Tunable Shear Nonreciprocity and Nonlinear Dynamics
Active gear‐based mechanical metamaterials enable simultaneous control of translational and torsional stiffnesses by 30–100×, break shear reciprocity under positive versus negative loads, broadly tune resonant frequencies, and offer programmable dynamic responses.

Crossing Limit Cycles of Planar Piecewise Linear Hamiltonian Systems without Equilibrium Points
In this paper, we study the existence of limit cycles of planar piecewise linear Hamiltonian systems without equilibrium points. Firstly, we prove that if these systems are separated by a parabola, they can have at most two crossing limit cycles, and if ...

Slow–fast n-dimensional piecewise linear differential systems
The paper deals with the \(n\)-dimensional singularly perturbed differential slow-fast system \[ \begin{aligned}&\dot {\mathbf u}=\frac{d{\mathbf u}}{dt}=\varepsilon(A{\mathbf u}+{\mathbf a}v+{\mathbf b}),\\ &\dot v=\frac{dv}{dt}=u_1+|v|,\end{aligned} \] where \({\mathbf u}\in\mathbb{R}^{n-1}\) is the slow variable (\(n\geq 2\)), \(v\in\mathbb{R}\) is ...

Dynamics of a Gear System with Faults in Meshing Stiffness [PDF]
Gear box dynamics is characterised by a periodically changing stiffness. In real gear systems, a backlash also exists that can lead to a loss in contact between the teeth.

Low‐Power Control Of Resistance Switching Transitions in First‐Order Memristors
Joule losses are a serious concern in modern integrated circuit design. In this regard, minimizing the energy necessary for programming memristors should be handled with care. This manuscript presents an optimal control framework, allowing to derive energy‐efficient programming voltage protocols for resistance switching devices. Following this approach,

SPICE‐Compatible Compact Modeling of Cuprate‐Based Memristors Across a Wide Temperature Range
A physics‐guided compact model for YBCO memristors is introduced, incorporating carrier trapping, field‐induced detrapping, and a differential balance equation to describe their switching dynamics. The model is compared with experiments and implemented in LTspice, allowing realistic circuit‐level simulations.

On multistability behavior of Unstable Dissipative Systems
We present a dissipative system with unstable dynamics called unstable dissipative system which are capable of generating a multi-stable behavior, i.e., depending on its initial condition the trajectory of the system converge to a specific basin of ...

In‐Sensor Computing by Soft Threshold Logic Gates Under Different Humidity Conditions
Soft nanocomposite materials, based on gold cluster‐assembled thin films implanted in polydimethylsiloxane substrate, can perform reliable processing in ambient environmental conditions. Humidity influences the resistive switching and computational capabilities of the nanocomposites, that can be used as multifunctional material combining sensing ...
