Engineering 2,4,6‐Triaminopyrimidine‐Functionalized Fumed Silica for Highly Selective Hg2+ Detection: Spectroscopic and Theoretical Elucidations

Hg2+ is considered one of the most dangerous heavy metal pollutants. The fumed‐Si‐Pr‐TAP was prepared by functionalizing fumed‐silica with 3‐(chloropropyl)trimethoxysiliane and 2,4,6‐triaminopyrimidine (TAP). Fumed‐Si‐Pr‐TAP can detect Hg2+ ions in aqueous solutions with good sensitivity and selectivity.

A Systematic Study of Auxochrome Effects on Fluorescence Under Conditions of Varying Temperature, pH, or Viscosity: Photo‐induced electron transfer and Twisted Intramolecular Charge Transfer

The effects of temperature, pH, and viscosity on the fluorescence quenching processes PET and TICT are systematically studied by combining eight amine donors with each of three fluorogenic cores. Fluorescence intensity results from an interplay of structural and environmental factors.

Identification of a Benzenesulfonylpiperazine Derivative With In Vivo Efficacy Against Visceral Leishmaniasis

This work highlights the satisfactory pharmacokinetic profile of two benzenesulfonylpiperazine lead candidates, followed by in vivo assessment in a murine model of visceral leishmaniasis. This assessment identified compound 2 as moderately active at a lower dose, but its efficacy increased at higher doses, though with concerns regarding safety.
