Bilateral Carotid-Cavernous Fistulas: An Uncommon Cause of Pituitary Enlargement and Hypopituitarism
Carotid-cavernous fistulas (CCFs) are rare, pathologic communications of the carotid artery and the venous plexus of the cavernous sinus. They can develop spontaneously in certain at risk individuals or following traumatic head injury.

Abstract Child maltreatment (CM) is associated with social problems, such as loneliness and isolation. One factor that might contribute to these problems is the tendency for individuals who have experienced CM to interpret neutral facial expressions as negative (i.e., negativity bias).

Interference of Binding Protein with Serum Growth Hormone Measurements [PDF]
Measurement of serum growth hormone by mass spectrometry is demonstrated to be unaffected by interferences with growth hormone binding protein as frequently encountered with antibody-based routine test methods and provides an alternative approach, therefore, to acquisition of accurate results.

This study explored how a 90‐day nutraceutical blend with prebiotics, minerals, and silymarin affects the gut‐brain axis in overweight adults. Results showed improved gut microbiota, reduced inflammation, and better sleep, mood, and quality of life, suggesting a strong link between gut health and mental well‐being.

Pituitary Adenoma Segmentation [PDF]
Sellar tumors are approximately 10-15% among all intracranial neoplasms. The most common sellar lesion is the pituitary adenoma. Manual segmentation is a time-consuming process that can be shortened by using adequate algorithms. In this contribution, we present a segmentation method for pituitary adenoma.
