Asteroseismic Characterization of 142 Solar-like Oscillators Hosting Confirmed Exoplanets

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
We present the largest catalog of exoplanet host stars with solar-like oscillations compiled to date, providing a powerful resource for refining stellar and planetary characterization via asteroseismology.

Accurate spectroscopic parameters of WASP planet host stars★ [PDF]

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 2012
We have made a detailed spectral analysis of eleven Wide Angle Search for Planets (WASP) planet host stars using high signal-to-noise (S/N) HARPS spectra. Our line list was carefully selected from the spectra of the Sun and Procyon, and we made a critical evaluation of the atomic data. The spectral lines were measured using equivalent widths.

14th Australian Space Research Conference (ASRC 2014) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The field of exoplanetary science is one of the most rapidly growing areas of astrophysical research. As more planets are discovered around other stars, new techniques have been developed that have allowed astronomers to begin to characterise them.

From Lab to Landscape: Environmental Biohybrid Robotics for Ecological Futures

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This Perspective explores environmental biohybrid robotics, integrating living tissues, microorganisms, and insects for operation in real‐world ecosystems. It traces the leap from laboratory experiments to forests, wetlands, and urban environments and discusses key challenges, development pathways, and opportunities for ecological monitoring and ...

A Comparison of the Composition of Planets in Single-planet and Multiplanet Systems Orbiting M dwarfs

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal, 2023
We investigate and compare the composition of M-dwarf planets in systems with only one known planet (“singles”) to those residing in multiplanet systems (“multis”) and the fundamental properties of their host stars.

Engineering of Crystal and Domain Structures in Epitaxial Y:HfO2 Thin Films by YSZ Substrate Miscut

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We investigate how YSZ substrate miscut influences crystal structure and domain formation in epitaxial Y‐doped HfO2 thin films. Using magnetron sputtering, high‐resolution X‐ray diffraction, atomic‐resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy, and first‐principles calculations, we systematically examine the characteristics of thickness‐ and ...

Connections between Planetary Populations and Chemical Characteristics of Their Host Stars

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Chemical anomalies in planet-hosting stars (PHSs) are studied in order to assess how the planetary nature and multiplicity affect the atmospheric chemical abundances of their host stars.

Multiplicity in transiting planet-host stars [PDF]

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics, 2012
In the exoplanetary era, the Kepler spacecraft is causing a revolution by discovering thousands of new planet candidates. However, a follow up program is needed in order to reject false candidates and to fully characterize the bona-fide exoplanets. Our main aims are: 1./ Detect and analyze close companions inside the typical Kepler PSF to study if they
