Antioxidant activity of medicinal plant polysaccharides

Fitoterapia, 2006
Eleven polysaccharides have been isolated from the leaves of Arctium lappa var. herkules, Aloe barbadensis, Althaea officinalis var. robusta, Plantago lanceolata var. libor, aerial parts and roots of Rudbeckia fulgida var. sullivantii, stems of Mahonia aquifolium, and peach-tree (Prunus persica) gum exudates.

Plant polysaccharides VII. Polysaccharides ofMorus and their hypoglycemic activity

Chemistry of Natural Compounds, 1997
Water-soluble polysaccharides, pectin substances, and hemicelluloses have been isolated fromMorus leaves, and their qualitative and quantitative compositions have been determined. The polysaccharides obtained by extraction with hot water have been investigated for hypoglycemic activity.

Polysaccharides of the oat plant in relationship to plant growth

Phytochemistry, 1969
Abstract The molecular composition of plant hemicelluloses is considered in terms of polymolecularity, polydispersity and polydiversity . These, and the terms pure hemicellulose, total hemicellulose and hemicellulosic material, are defined in a way suitable for use in this and later papers on the relationship between maturity of the oat plant,

Pea Soluble Polysaccharide Interactions with Plant Albumins

Food Chemistry
Interactions occurring in foods at acidic pH are important for improving the colloidal stability of protein suspensions. This study evaluated the binding between pea albumins (PA) and anionic soluble pea polysaccharides, comparing them to β-lactoglobulin (β-lg) and high methoxyl pectin (HMP).
