Loss of the frequently mutated chromatin remodeler ARID1A, a subunit of the SWI/SNF cBAF complex, results in less open chromatin, alternative splicing, and the failure to stop cells from progressing through the cell cycle after DNA damage in bladder (cancer) cells. Created in BioRender. Epigenetic regulators, such as the SWI/SNF complex, with important

Cut–dip–budding delivery system enables genetic modifications in plants without tissue culture
Of the more than 370 000 species of higher plants in nature, fewer than 0.1% can be genetically modified due to limitations of the current gene delivery systems.

GENETICALLY MODIFIED PLANTS WITH ENHANCED RESISTANCE TO FUNGAL DISEASES AND A METHOD OF PRODUCTION THEREOF [PDF]
The present invention discloses genetically modified plants, such as potato plants. The plants are more resistant to a pathogen of interest following transformation of plant cells with a chimeric gene comprising a chitinase gene and beta-1,3-glucanase ...

Chronic TGF‐β exposure drives epithelial HCC cells from a senescent state to a TGF‐β resistant mesenchymal phenotype. This transition is characterized by the loss of Smad3‐mediated signaling, escape from senescence, enhanced invasiveness and metastatic potential, and upregulation of key resistance modulators such as MARK1 and GRM8, ultimately promoting

Inhibitor of DNA binding‐1 is a key regulator of cancer cell vasculogenic mimicry
Elevated expression of transcriptional regulator inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID1) promoted cancer cell‐mediated vasculogenic mimicry (VM) through regulation of pro‐angiogenic and pro‐cancerous genes (e.g. VE‐cadherin (CDH5), TIE2, MMP9, DKK1). Higher ID1 expression also increased metastases to the lung and the liver.

Non-Destructive Carotenoid Quantification in Leaves via Raman Spectroscopy: Optimizing Treatment for Linear Discriminant Analysis [PDF]
This study introduces a novel method for quantifying challenging carotenoids in leaf tissues, which typically produce less stable signals than fruits, grains, and roots, by applying Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) modeling to interpret Raman spectroscopy data.
