Bending of the rigidly fixed elastic-plastic plate

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы, 2019
The number of plate structures include coatings, as well as box systems, working as a complete spatial system. The plate structures include systems elements of which are both rods and plates, for example, frame - panel structures with the bearing ...

NASTRAN static and buckling analysis - comparison with other large-capacity programs [PDF]

open access: yes, 1973
A square plate with clamped edges under a concentrated load was modeled using NASTRAN and ASKA finite element computer programs. Deflections were computed for various width-to-thickness ratios (b/t) of the plate element, and were compared against the ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Nonlinear dynamics of flexural wave turbulence

open access: yes, 2011
The Kolmogorov-Zakharov spectrum predicted by the Weak Turbulence Theory remains elusive for wave turbulence of flexural waves at the surface of an thin elastic plate.

Adaptaquin is selectively toxic to glioma stem cells through disruption of iron and cholesterol metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

Matter-screened Casimir force and Casimir-Polder force in planar structures

open access: yes, 2005
Using a recently developed theory of the Casimir force (Raabe C and Welsch D-G 2005 Phys. Rev. A 71 013814), we calculate the force that acts on a plate in front of a planar wall and the force that acts on the plate in the case where the plate is part of

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Meshfree approach on buckling and free vibration analysis of porous FGM plate with proposed IHHSDT resting on the foundation

open access: yesCurved and Layered Structures, 2019
In the present work, new inverse hyperbolic higher-order shear deformation theory (IHHSDT) is proposed and implemented for buckling analysis and free vibration analysis of porous Functionally Graded Material (FGM) plate on the foundation.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Input-output relations at dispersing and absorbing planar multilayers for the quantized electromagnetic field containing evanescent components

open access: yes, 2003
By using the Green-function concept of quantization of the electromagnetic field in dispersing and absorbing media, the quantized field in the presence of a dispersing and absorbing dielectric multilayer plate is studied.
