Nanotechnology and cell death: Revolutionizing disease treatment with nanoparticle strategies

open access: yesVIEW, Volume 6, Issue 5, October 2025.
Traditional disease treatments often face issues such as poor drug targeting and significant side effects, with many complex diseases lacking effective therapies. Our research utilizes tiny nanomaterials to treat diseases by regulating natural cell death processes, improving the immune environment, etc., enabling drugs to act more precisely.

Insights into the clinical, platelet and genetic landscape of inherited thrombocytopenia with malignancy risk

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, Volume 207, Issue 4, Page 1565-1577, October 2025.
Inherited thrombocytopenia (IT) caused by germline variants in RUNX1, ETV6 or ANKRD26 carries a high risk of developing haematological malignancy. This study examined the clinical, platelet and molecular characteristics of 66 patients with these conditions, who carried 24 distinct genetic variants in the corresponding genes.

BCL‐2 Inhibitor Regulates Number, Function, and Antitumor Immunity of T Cells by Influencing Glycolysis in AML

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 116, Issue 10, Page 2657-2676, October 2025.
This study found that BCL‐2 inhibitors can effectively induce AML cell apoptosis and regulate the proportion of lymphocytes to affect the AML tumor immune microenvironment. Furthermore, BCL‐2 inhibitor regulated the number, function, and activation status of T cells, thereby enhancing T cell‐mediated antitumor immune responses.

Macrophage Efferocytosis as a Therapeutic Strategy in Intervertebral Disc Degeneration

open access: yesCell Proliferation, Volume 58, Issue 10, October 2025.
Macrophages, integral to degenerated intervertebral discs, play a critical role in disc degeneration. By performing efferocytosis, they clear apoptotic cells. This article explores the process of efferocytosis, its molecular mechanisms, potential therapeutic implications for intervertebral disc degeneration and future strategies for targeted treatments.
