Measuring PLD Activity In Vivo

open access: yes, 2013
Phospholipase D (PLD) hydrolyzes structural phospholipids like phosphatidylcholine (PC) and phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) into phosphatidic acid (PA) and free choline/ethanolamine. In plants, this activity can be stimulated by a wide variety of biotic and abiotic stresses (Li et al., Biochim Biophys Acta 1791:927-935, 2009; Testerink and Munnik, J Exp ...

Assay of NAPE-PLD Activity

open access: yes, 2016
N-acyl-phosphatidylethanolamine (NAPE)-hydrolyzing phospholipase D (NAPE-PLD) is a prominent enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of fatty acid amides (FAAs), a family of bioactive lipids including anandamide (AEA) as the prototypical member. Here, we describe a NAPE-PLD assay based on radioactive substrates and product separation by thin-layer ...

Radiometric Assay of NAPE-PLD Activity

open access: yes, 2022
N-Acyl-phosphatidylethanolamine (NAPE)-hydrolyzing phospholipase D (NAPE-PLD) is a prominent enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of fatty acid amides, a family of bioactive lipids including anandamide as the prototypical member. Here, we describe a NAPE-PLD assay based on radioactive substrates and product separation by thin layer chromatography (TLC).

PLD: A Distillation Algorithm for Misclassified Documents

open access: yes, 2004
We observed that in interactive text classification, user tends to point out only the misclassified documents, not the correct ones. It is unlikely that a user would be diligent enough to identify all the misclassified documents. In this case, a classifier is expected to deal with misclassified documents.

Determination of the formation rate of phosphatidylethanol by phospholipase D (PLD) in blood and test of two selective PLD inhibitors

open access: yesAlcohol, 2018
Phosphatidylethanol (PEth) is an alcohol biomarker formed from phosphatidylcholine (PC) by the enzyme phospholipase D (PLD) in the presence of ethanol. A drinking study revealed individual differences in maximum PEth levels after drinking to a targeted ...
