A New Application-Specific PLD Architecture

IEICE Transactions on Fundamentals of Electronics, Communications and Computer Sciences, 2005
A systolic array is an ideal for ASICs because of its massive parallelism with a minimum communication overhead, regularity and modularity. Most of commercial FPGAs cannot handle systolic structure with fast sampling rate for their general-purpose architecture nature.

PLD, A Bridge to the Membrane

Science Signaling, 2001
In plants, as in animal cells, microtubules have important roles in interphase and mitotic cells. In plants during interphase, cortical microtubules appear to be connected to the plasma membrane through protein bridges. Gardiner et al.

Safe PLD-based programmable controllers

International Conference on Field Programmable Logic and Applications, 2005., 2005
In many industrial processes, an incorrect operation can lead to irreparable damage to people, equipment, or the environment. In order to reduce risks, the electronic control systems used in this kind of processes must comply with international standard safety requirements.

Optimisation of PLD Parameters

2017
Progress in the fabrication of ZnO-based optoelectronic devices lies in producing reproducible, reliable and stable p-type ZnO films, because of the intrinsic n-type nature of the deposited ZnO films. Hence, for successful conversion of its carriers from n-type to p-type, it is desirable that the deposited ZnO film has as low an electron concentration ...

PLD Based Design

2005
This chapter gave an overview of mechanisms, tools, and processes used for taking a design from the design stage to an FPLD implementation. This overview contained information that will become clearer in the chapters that follow. We tried to make this information as generic as possible and not bound to a specific tool or environment.

An appication of PLDs in diode laser drivers

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2013
Abstract Firstly, this paper describes the main reasons of damages laser diodes. Then, it is proposed a new concept of a diode driver. Its concept, is based on switching a laser diode at zero conditions. This means that a diode should be turned on when the current throught it and voltage across it is safely small.

NAPE-PLD is target of thiazide diuretics

Cell Chemical Biology
Thiazide and thiazide-like diuretics are among the most efficacious and used drugs for the treatment of hypertension, edema, and major cardiovascular outcomes. Despite more then than six decades of clinical use, the molecular target and mechanism of action by which these drugs cure hypertension after long-term use have remained mysterious.
