Hypervision Proton Surgery: The Future Direction of Proton Therapy
ABSTRACT Proton beams provide unique physical advantages characterized by a low entrance dose, negligible exit dose, and a sharp Bragg peak, which enable superior sparing of normal tissues and support safe dose escalation for improved tumor control. However, conventional photon‐based fractionation remains widely used in proton therapy, where prolonged ...

LINC00892 is lowly expressed in HCC. LINC00892 overexpression induces ribosomal stress via inhibiting SBDS, restrains EIF6 nuclear translocation and activates p53 pathway. LINC00892 overexpression and p53 activation jointly suppress HCC progression. High LINC00892 is associted with infiltration of CD8+ T cells, B cells and macrophages, and associated ...

CD93—An emerging vascular target in cancer therapy
Abstract CD93 is a single‐pass transmembrane glycoprotein that belongs to the C‐type lectin domain group XIV family of proteins. Although it is known to be expressed in other cell types, namely, in some subsets of immune cells, CD93 is primarily expressed on endothelial cells, where it acts as a crucial regulator of angiogenesis.

Arrhythmias associated with immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy—A clinical perspective
Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have transformed cancer therapy but are associated with a growing spectrum of cardiovascular immune‐related adverse events. Among these, arrhythmias represent a rare yet potentially life‐threatening complication. ICI‐induced arrhythmias encompass a wide clinical spectrum, including atrial arrhythmias, conduction ...

Pleural Plaques and the Risk of Pleural Mesothelioma [PDF]
The association between pleural plaques and pleural mesothelioma remains controversial. The present study was designed to examine the association between pleural plaques on computed tomography (CT) scan and the risk of pleural mesothelioma in a follow-up study of asbestos-exposed workers.Retired or unemployed workers previously occupationally exposed ...
