Single Molecule Observation of DNA Electrophoresis in Pluronic F127
The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2010Single molecule fluorescence microscopy is used to follow the motion of long DNA molecules undergoing electrophoresis in Pluronic gels. We find that for low fields most DNA molecules follow tortuous paths through the gels, at an angle up to 90 degrees from the field direction, while some molecules find paths along the field lines.

Preparation of hydrophilic blood compatible polypropylene/pluronics F127 films
Journal of Biomedical Materials Research Part A, 2017AbstractIn order to improve surface hydrophilicity, blood compatibility and cell‐antiadhesion of polypropylene (PP) film, polypropylene oxide (PPO)‐polyethylene oxide‐PPO used as macromolecular surface modifier through physical blending. Surface properties of blended PP/Pluronic F127 (PF127) samples were investigated by attenuated total reflection ...

Temperature-controlled content release from liposomes encapsulating Pluronic F127
Journal of Controlled Release, 2001Temperature-dependent internal content release from liposomes was examined using di-oleoylphosphatidylcholine (DOPC)/cholesterol liposomes with encapsulated Pluronic F127 molecules. The interaction of Pluronic F127 with the lipid bilayer at elevated temperature causes the release of encapsulated contents.

Cinnamoyl Pluronic F127 as a Stimuli-Sensitive Amphiphile
Journal of Dispersion Science and Technology, 2014Cinnamoyl Pluronic F127 (CP F127) was prepared by reacting cinnamoyl chloride and Pluronic F127. On the 1H NMR spectrum of CP F127, 1.2 moiety of cinnamoyl group was found to be attached to one molecule of CP F127. Using pyrene as a fluorescence probe, it was found that not only Pluronic F127 but also CP F127 could be readily assembled into micelles ...

Structure and Physical Properties of Zein/Pluronic F127 Composite Films
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2013Triblock copolymer Pluronic F127 has been used to form composites with zein, a corn protein and coproduct of the bioethanol industry, to alleviate its natural brittleness. At low F127 loadings (0-35%), the plasticizing effect was dominant, and the elongation at break of zein composite film containing 35% F127 was about 8-fold higher than that of the ...

The hydrophobicity of most of the anticancer drugs offers a great challenge in selecting a system for their effective transport. Here comes the importance of micelles that offers a hydrophobic core for incorporating these drugs. In this study, Hyaluronic Acid coated Pluronic mixed micelle loaded with Paclitaxel and Curcumin was designed and evaluated ...

Physical characterization of alginate–Pluronic F127 gel for endoluminal NABDs delivery
Soft Matter, 2014Here we focus the attention on the physical characteristics of a highly biocompatible hydrogel made up of crosslinked alginate and Pluronic F127 (PF127). This is a composite polymeric blend we propose for artery endoluminal delivery of an emerging class of molecules named nucleic acid based drugs (NABDs).

Polymeric micelles of pluronic F127 reduce hemolytic potential of amphiphilic drugs
Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces, 2019One of the main toxicities associated to intravenous administration of amphiphilic drugs is pronounced hemolytic activity. To overcome this limitation, we investigated the anti-hemolytic properties of polymeric micelles of Pluronics, triblock copolymers of poly(ethylene oxide) and poly(propylene oxide).

Investigation of Poly(vinyl alcohol)/Pluronic F127 Physical Gels
Polymer-Plastics Technology and Engineering, 2014The application of Pluronic F127 as injectable gel-forming solution is limited by poor mechanical properties. The purpose of this study was to develop low viscosity formulations at ambient temperature that undergo a transition to gel under physiological conditions.

Nanogels Composed of Cinnamoyl Alginate and Cinnamoyl Pluronic F127
Journal of Dispersion Science and Technology, 2014Temperature-responsive nanogels were developed by photo crosslinking cinnamoyl alginate (CinAlg) and cinnamoyl Pluronic F127 (CinPlu). On the 1H NMR spectrum of CinAlg, one molecule of cinnamoyl group was calculated to be attached to every 7.7 units of the pyranose of alginate.
