Fluorescence of commercial Pluronic F127 samples: Temperature-dependent micellization
Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2011We present a novel approach of using the butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) antioxidant found in commercial Pluronic F127 samples as a marker of polymer aggregation. The BHT marker was compared to the pyrene dye and static light scattering methods as a way to measure the critical micelle concentration (CMC) and critical micelle temperature (CMT). The n→π(∗)

On the rheology of Pluronic F127 aqueous solutions
Journal of Rheology, 2017The rheology of aqueous solutions of Pluronic F127 is studied as a function of concentration, temperature, and shear rate. At sufficiently low temperatures, the solutions behave like Newtonian fluids; a simple empirical model is proposed for the viscosity as a function of temperature and concentration.

A Study of the Temperature-Dependent Micellization of Pluronic F127
Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 1999We have examined the temperature-dependent micellization of the pharmaceutically important PEO-PPO-PEO copolymer, Pluronic F127, using static light scattering and various aspects of the pyrene fluorescence spectrum (monomer intensity, excimer formation and the I1/I3 ratio).

Pluronic F127: Application in Arterial Embolization
Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, 2006Pluronic is a substance that is widely used in medical and pharmaceutical fields. In particular, 20% Pluronic F127 solution is a unique substance that is liquid at less than 15 degrees C and gelatinous at 25 to 60 degrees C. In this study, the authors took advantage of the gelation property of Pluronic F127 at human body temperature to simulate ...

Pluronic® F127-based systemic vaccine delivery systems
Vaccine, 2004We have developed a vaccine delivery system based on the non-ionic block copolymer, Pluronic F127 (F127), combined with selected immunomodulators. F127-based matrices are characterized by a phenomenon known as reverse thermogelation, whereby the formulation undergoes a phase transition from liquid to gel upon reaching physiological temperatures ...

Peptide mapping by capillary electrophoresis with Pluronic F127
Journal of Chromatography B, 2004Separation of peptides and proteins by capillary zone electrophoresis suffers from the interaction of these solutes with the capillary wall which results in the formation of broad peaks and low resolution. To minimize the protein/peptide-capillary wall interaction we tried to use Pluronic F127, a triblock copolymer of the general formula (polyethylene ...

The effects of drugs on Pluronic F127 structure
IEEE 30th Annual Northeast Bioengineering Conference, 2004. Proceedings of the, 2004Small-angle neutron scattering was used to study the effects of several drugs and additives on the aggregation number, core and corona radii and interparticle interaction distance of Pluronic F127 micelles. Depending upon their molecular weight and partition coefficient, these drugs were found to cause changes in the micellar structure.

Light- and temperature-responsive liposomes incorporating cinnamoyl Pluronic F127
International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 2014Light- and temperature-responsive liposomes were prepared by immobilizing cinnamoyl Pluronic F127 (CP F127) on the surface of egg phosphatidylcholine liposomes. CP F127 was prepared by a condensation reaction, and the molar ratio of cinnamoyl group to Pluronic F127 was calculated to be 1:1.4 on (1)H NMR spectrum.

Photopolymerization of Pluronic F127 diacrylate: a colloid-templated polymerization
Soft Matter, 2011Pluronic F127 diacrylate (F127DA) is a bifunctional acrylate and as such it should in principle produce macroscopically cross-linked materials; however, its photopolymerization in water does not lead to 3D-extended hydrogels. The main species present after photopolymerization appear to be cross-linked micelles, which indicates that the micellar ...
