Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Channel Modeling and Performance Analysis of Directional THz Links Under Pointing Errors and α-μ Distribution

open access: yes, 2023
This letter focuses on providing an analytical framework for the quantification and evaluation of high-directional terahertz communication links under pointing errors in terms of outage probability (OP), channel capacity, and symbol error rate (SER).

Efficient Uncertainty Quantification for Satellite Antenna Pointing: A GSA-PEM Framework Integrating Multi-Source Disturbances

open access: yesAerospace
Space-borne antenna pointing is affected by uncertain disturbances like satellite attitude, structural flexibility, and manufacturing/installation errors. Understanding the effect of these uncertainties is crucial for antenna performance.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Modeling crosstalk coefficients in orbital angular momentum-multiplexed fso channels under gaussian pointing errors

open access: yes
Crosstalk coefficients induced by pointing errors pose a significant challenge in orbital angular momentum (OAM)-multiplexed free space optical (FSO) communication systems. This paper presents a detailed investigation into the impact of Gaussian pointing

Experimental investigation of pointing errors on drone-based FSO systems

open access: yes, 2020
Airborne free space optical (FSO) links can be efficiently used for backhaul/fronthaul needs of future cellular networks. Unlike terrestrial FSO links where a fixed connection between two buildings is considered, airborne FSO links bring unique ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

CORRELATED ERRORS IN EARTH POINTING MISSIONS

open access: yes, 2005
Two different Earth-pointing missions dealing with attitude control and dynamics changes illustrate concerns with correlated error sources and coupled effects that can occur. On the OrbView-2 (OV-2) spacecraft, the assumption of a nearly-inertially-fixed
