Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis: Plant‐Based Therapy for Irritable Bowel Syndrome

open access: yesPhytotherapy Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common disorder of brain‐gut interaction that presents with abdominal pain, bloating associated with variable stool consistency. Many IBS patients prefer plant‐based preparations to pharmacological therapy; however, the utility of this approach is not well established.

Stimuli‐responsive nanostructured hydrogen sulfide donors for enhanced cancer treatments

open access: yesSmart Molecules, EarlyView.
Three typical kinds of stimuli‐responsive nanostructured hydrogen sulfide (H2S) donors are reviewed. The nanostructures ensure precise delivery of H2S to the lesion site and regulate the release behavior. The H2S‐based gas therapy has been used to synergize with other cancer treatment modalities, achieving enhanced efficacy while reducing side effects.
