Comprehensive transcriptomic analysis reveals insights into the gill response to hypoxia and Poly I:C in Qihe crucian carp Carassius auratus

open access: yesAquaculture Reports, 2022
Hypoxia occurrence is potentiated by eutrophication caused by human activities and it may be the most dramatically increasing environmental factor as a result of the climate change-led increasing temperatures.

Safety Assessment of Poly I: C in NZB/NZW Mice

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1975
SummaryThe present report confirms the findings by Steinberg et al. (9) that repeated intraperitoneal injections of poly I:C (3 μg/g, three times per wk, 40-52 doses) enhanced the incidence and severity of glomer-ular lesions that occur spontaneously in NZB/NZW mice and also increased the development of circulating antibody against nucleic acids.

A Poly(dA:dT) Tract in the IGF1 Gene Is a Genetic Marker for Growth Traits in Pigs

open access: yesAnimals, 2022
Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1) is an important regulator of body growth, development, and metabolism. The poly(dA:dT) tract affects the accessibility of transcription factor binding sites to regulate transcription. Therefore, this study assessed the

Structural and Electronic Properties of Polycrystalline InAs Thin Films Deposited on Silicon Dioxide and Glass at Temperatures below 500 °C

open access: yesCrystals, 2021
Polycrystalline indium arsenide (poly InAs) thin films grown at 475 °C by metal organic vapor phase epitaxy (MOVPE) are explored as possible candidates for low-temperature-grown semiconducting materials.

Surface Carbon Shell-Functionalized ZrO2 as Nanofiller in Polymer Gel Electrolyte-Based Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2019
We prepare dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) fabricated with a poly (ethylene glycol) based polymer gel electrolytes (PGEs) incorporating surface carbon shell-functionalized ZrO2 nanoparticles (ZrO2-C) as nanofillers (NFs). ZrO2 are polymerized via atom

The Treatment of Patients Suffering from Herpetic Keratitis with Poly I: C and IDU [PDF]

open access: yesOphthalmologica, 1975
13 patients with keratitis punctata, keratitis herpetica and herpetic cor-neal ulcers were treated with daily instillations of 4 × poly I:C and 4 × IDU. In general the course of the corneal abnormalities, which was documented very carefully photographically, was favourable.
