Colloid-Induced Polymer Compression [PDF]
We consider a model mixture of hard colloidal spheres and non-adsorbing polymer chains in a theta solvent. The polymer component is modelled as a polydisperse mixture of effective spheres, mutually noninteracting but excluded from the colloids, with ...

BRANCHED POLYMERS ON BRANCHED POLYMERS [PDF]
We study an ensemble of branched polymers which are embedded on other branched polymers. This is a toy model which allows us to study explicitly and in detail the reaction of a statistical system to its underlying geometrical structure, a problem of interest in the study of the interaction of matter and quantized gravity. We find a phase transition at

Phase diagram for a mixture of colloids and polymers with equal size [PDF]
We present the phase diagram of a colloid-polymer mixture in which the radius a of the colloidal spheres is approximately the same as the radius R of a polymer coil (q=R/a1).

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
