One-pot RAFT and fast polymersomes assembly: a ‘beeline’ from monomers to drug-loaded nanovectors [PDF]
Rapid and simple routes to functional polymersomes are increasingly needed to expand their clinical or industrial applications. Here we describe a novel strategy where polymersomes are prepared through an in-line process in just a few hours, starting ...

Quantification of intracellular payload release from polymersome nanoparticles
Polymersome nanoparticles (PMs) are attractive candidates for spatio-temporal controlled delivery of therapeutic agents. Although many studies have addressed cellular uptake of solid nanoparticles, there is very little data available on intracellular ...

Haemoglobin, oxygen carriers and perioperative organ perfusion [PDF]
Under normal conditions, only 20-30% of the delivered oxygen is metabolised. In normovolaemic anaemia, the organism reacts with increases in cardiac output and oxygen extraction.

An intrinsically disordered protein, Q20, forms transmembrane condensates with albumin‐loaded lipid and hybrid giant vesicles. Condensate insertion and membrane remodeling depend on giant vesicle size and membrane properties, inducing local lipid coupling without leakage and revealing a robust membrane‐condensate interplay.

Shaping polymersomes into predictable morphologies via out-of-equilibrium self-assembly
Polymersomes are used in many applications, ranging from drug delivery to microfluidics, but controlling their shape is difficult. Here, Christianen and co-workers have precisely controlled polymersome shape via an out-of-equilibrium process and fully ...
