Background: Variations in the hepatic lipase (HL) gene are the potential candidate for coronary artery disease (CAD) especially in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in diverse populations. We assessed the association of -514C/T and -250G/A polymorphisms in

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Paraoxonase Gene Polymorphisms and Aortic Calcification
Background: Aortic arch calcification is correlated with the extent of atherosclerosis and is a predictor of future cardiovascular risk. The paraoxonase (PON) gene can reduce the risk of atherosclerosis development.

Parsing with polymorphism [PDF]
Certain phenomena resist coverage within the Lambek Calculus, such as scope-ambiguity and non-peripheral extraction. I have argued in previous work that an extension called Polymorphic Lambek Calculus (PLC), which adds variables and their universal quantification, covers these phenomena.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

The Association between TNF-alpha Gene Polymorphisms and Endometriosis in An Iranian Population [PDF]
Background Tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) is an important cytokine in acute inflammatory response to infective factors. Based on investigation in different populations, it is thought that this response increases in patients with endometrio- sis ...

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Emotional dimension associated with the migratory experience of adult refugees and asylum seekers
This study explores the impact of the migratory process on the mental health of refugees and asylum seekers arriving in Spain. It examines the feelings and emotions associated with emigration, alongside its underlying causes. A mixed-methods approach was

The author gives a new intuitionistic model \({\mathcal C}\) for the second- order polymorphic lambda calculus. \({\mathcal C}\) is a proper subcategory of the category \({\mathcal M}\) of realizability-valued modest sets on which earlier intuitionistic models have been constructed.
