Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Genetic diversity and spatiotemporal population structure of Anopheles sinensis in the Republic of Korea based on the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) marker [PDF]
Objectives Anopheles sinensis is a predominant malaria vector found throughout the Republic of Korea (ROK). Population genetic analysis can provide insights into the origins and migration patterns of malaria vectors by assessing genetic variation and ...

Unexpected Fine-Scale Population Structure in a Broadcast-Spawning Antarctic Marine Mollusc [PDF]
Several recent empirical studies have challenged the prevailing dogma that broadcast-spawning species exhibit little or no population genetic structure by documenting genetic discontinuities associated with large-scale oceanographic features.

Genetic diversity and population structure analysis of barley landraces from Shanghai region using genotyping-by-sequencing [PDF]
Barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) is an important economic crop for food, feed and industrial raw materials. In the present research, 112 barley landraces from the Shanghai region were genotyped using genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS), and the genetic diversity ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

A 100-year Projection of Population Aging in Iran Through the Decomposition of Population Momentum [PDF]
Objectives In Iran, population aging is likely to continue with an increase in the number of older people in the upcoming decades. This study aims to provide a 100-year projection of Iran’s aging population by decomposing population momentum.

A review of methods for defining population structure in the harbour porpoise (Phocoena phocoena)
Wide-ranging methods that have been used to determine population structure, including distribution, life history, biology, ecological factors such as diet and contaminant loads, morphology and genetics, are reviewed.

Fast hierarchical Bayesian analysis of population structure
We present fastbaps, a fast solution to the genetic clustering problem. Fastbaps rapidly identifies an approximate fit to a Dirichlet Process Mixture model (DPM) for clustering multilocus genotype data.
