Molecular characteristic analysis of porcine epidemic diarrhea virus S gene in Zhejiang and surrounding areas

open access: yes浙江大学学报. 农业与生命科学版, 2018
We carried out pathogen detection of 282 clinical samples collected from Zhejiang Province and its 24 surrounding areas during April 2013 to April 2017. Among them, 16 positive samples were selected for S gene cloning and sequencing.

Adenovirus vector-mediated single chain variable fragments target the nucleocapsid protein of porcine epidemic diarrhea virus and protect against viral infection in piglets

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2023
Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) mainly infects the intestinal epithelial cells of pigs, causing porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED). In particular, the virus causes severe diarrhea, dehydration, and death in neonatal piglets.

Targeting the CRYAB/β‐Catenin Axis with an MMP‐9‐Responsive Hydrogel Disrupts CTC Clusters to Suppress Progression of Hepatocellular Carcinoma after Radiofrequency Ablation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The graphical abstract illustrates that sublethal thermal stress after iRFA upregulates the chaperone CRYAB in residual HCC cells, which stabilizes β‐catenin and drives a dual pathological program, including EMT and N2‐TAN polarization, thereby leading to heterotypic CTC cluster formation. The MMP‐9‐responsive hydrogel (XB@Gel) delivers XAV‐939 and BMS‐

Molecular Basis of NPY Recognition and Ligand Selectivity at the Neuropeptide Y5 Receptor

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Here, we present the first active structure of the neuropeptide Y5 receptor (NPY5R) in complex with its endogenous ligand NPY and the Gi1 protein. The cryo‐electron microscopy structure, validated by extensive mutagenesis studies, gives important insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying ligand binding and receptor activation.

Lyssavirus Nucleoprotein Induces GPAT4‐Mediated CYB5R1 Depalmitoylation to Suppress Ferroptosis and Promote Viral Replication

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipid metabolism plays a vital role in viral infections. Here, we reveal that the lyssavirus N protein regulates GPAT4 to induce lipid droplet biogenesis, restricting CYB5R1 palmitoylation and reducing ferroptosis susceptibility to ultimately promote viral replication.

Sulfur–Oxygen Competitive Coordination Allosteric Hydrogel for Triboelectric Nanogenerator‐Based Intelligent Tactile Recognition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dynamic Ag+─S coordinated hydrogel with a sulfur–oxygen competitive coordination allosteric switch enables reversible tuning between soft–adhesive and stiff–robust states. Integrated with a lightweight 1DCNN classifier, the smart glove system achieves 99.70% laboratory and 93.35% real‐wear material recognition accuracy, offering a paradigm for self ...

The rate of co-infection for piglet diarrhea viruses in China and the genetic characterization of porcine epidemic diarrhea virus and porcine kobuvirus

open access: yesActa virologica, 2016
Piglet diarrhea epidemics result in major economic losses for the swine industry. Four viruses are closely linked to porcine diarrhea: porcine kobuvirus (PKV), porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV), porcine transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV), and porcine rotavirus (PRoV).

Genetic analysis of Escherichia coli from porcine postweaning diarrhoea [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
A total of 79 Australian isolates of beta-haemolytic Escherichia coli from cases of porcine postweaning diarrhoea (PWD), and 18 isolates of serotype O 149:K91:K88 (F4) from unweaned pigs from Australia, Indonesia and Denmark, were examined by multilocus ...
