Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

THE MATHEMATIC SIMULATION PROCESS OF TOXIC GAS WICKING INTO THE ROOM THROUGH THE VENTILATION SYSTEM ON THE TERRITORY OF CHEMICALLY HAZARDOUS OBJECT DURING THE EMERGENCY

open access: yesNauka ta progres transportu, 2011
The 3D-numerical model to simulate the toxic gas dispersion on industrial sites and inflow of toxic gas into the industrial room after accident ejections was developed.

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Coupling between flexible ship and liquid sloshing using potential flow analysis and their effect on wave induced loads

open access: yes, 2010
The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of hull flexibility on the hydrodynamic forces and moments associated with liquid sloshing, as well as the dynamic characteristics = (e.g. resonance frequencies) of the whole system.

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Topics in Numerical Computation of Compressible Flow [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
This thesis aims to assist the development of a multiblock implicit Navier-Stokes code for hypersonic flow applications. There are mainly three topics, which concern the understanding of basic Riemann solvers, the implementing of implicit zonal ...

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Panelization study for free surface potential flow computation

open access: yesAnnals of "Dunărea de Jos" University of Galaţi: Fascicle XI Shipbuilding, 2017
The present work concerns the space discretion of the free-surface potential flow computation based boundary element method. A series of systematically sensitivity studies on the number of panels and distribution on the body and on the free surface have ...
