Pressure and Velocity Profiles over a Weir Using Potential Flow Model
A potential flow model of the semi-inverse type is proposed to simulate flow over round crested weirs. This technique involves the construction of only streamlines over the weir instead of constructing the entire flow net.

Local interstellar gasdynamical stability in spiral arm flow [PDF]
The stability of two-dimensional interstellar gas flow passing through a spiral potential has been investigated. The background flow is assumed to move in a tightly wound potential, which may be regarded as external or self-generated.

Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

This paper presents an analytical solution for potential cross-flow in doubly-periodic in-line and staggered tube banks. The solution, in the form of a power series for the complex potential, is consistent with the well-known solution for a single cylinder.

AAA+ protein unfoldases—the Moirai of the proteome
AAA+ unfoldases are essential molecular motors that power protein degradation and disaggregation. This review integrates recent cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) structures and single‐molecule biophysical data to reconcile competing models of substrate translocation.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

A robust quasi-simultaneous interaction method for a full potential flow with a boundary layer with application to wing/body configurations [PDF]
The MATRICS flow solver calculates the inviscid transonic potential flow about a wing/body semi-configuration. At present, work is in progress to extend MATRICS to take viscous effects into account through coupling with a boundary layer solver.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.
