On some properties of solutions of transonic potential flow problems [PDF]
summary:The paper deals with solutions of transonic potential flow problems handled in the weak form or as variational inequalities. Using suitable generalized methods, which are well known for elliptic partial differential equations of the second order,

Carefully chosen complex variable formulations can solve flow in fractured porous media. Such a calculus approach is attractive, because the gridless method allows for fast, high-resolution model results.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

A potential-flow based flight simulator for an underwater glider [PDF]
Underwater gliders are recent innovative types of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) used in ocean exploration and observation. They adjust their buoyancy to dive and to return to the ocean surface.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Flow processes with microstructured reactors allow paradigm changes in process development and thus can enable a faster development time to the final production plant. They do this by exploiting similarity effects along the development chain (modularity)

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Micro flow chemistry : new possibilities for synthetic chemists
The use of microreactor technology for continuous-flow chemistry has received a significant amount of attention in recent years. In this chapter, we discuss the important aspects of this technology and its impact on synthetic organic chemistry.

New Analytical Formulae and Theorems for the Wave Resistance [PDF]
Wave resistance is an important characteristic of bodies floating on a free surface or moving under it. A significant number of works pioneered by Lord Kelvin (1887) have been devoted to determination of this characteristic.
