Woody breast myopathy broiler show age-dependent adaptive differential gene expression in Pectoralis major and altered in-vivo triglyceride kinetics in adipogenic tissues

open access: yesPoultry Science, 2021
: A study was conducted to understand the differentially expressed genes in Pectoralis (P) major under woody breast (WB) myopathy condition in a high yielding broiler strain using RNA-sequencing at the growing (d 21) and finishing (d 42 and d 56) grow ...

A State‐Adaptive Koopman Control Framework for Real‐Time Deformable Tool Manipulation in Robotic Environmental Swabbing

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a state‐adaptive Koopman linear quadratic regulator framework for real‐time manipulation of a deformable swab tool in robotic environmental sampling. By combining Koopman linearization, tactile sensing, and centroid‐based force regulation, the system maintains stable contact forces and high coverage across flat and inclined surfaces.

In vivo collagen and mixed muscle protein turnover in 2 meat-type broiler strains in relation to woody breast myopathy

open access: yesPoultry Science, 2020
Two meat-type broiler strains, strain A and strain B, were reared in floor pens (25 birds/pen; 45 pens/strain) for pectoralis (P) major collagen and mixed muscle protein turnover (PT) study from 0–56 D using primary breeder nutrition and husbandry ...

ChicGrasp: Imitation‐Learning‐Based Customized Dual‐Jaw Gripper Control for Manipulation of Delicate, Irregular Bio‐Products

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Automated poultry processing lines still rely on humans to lift slippery, easily bruised carcasses onto a shackle conveyor. Deformability, anatomical variance, and hygiene rules make conventional suction and scripted motions unreliable. We present ChicGrasp, an end‐to‐end hardware‐software co‐designed imitation learning framework, to offer a ...

RNF213 Is an Interferon‐Stimulated Gene That Targets Influenza A Virus NP and Activates MDA5 to Restrict Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RNF213 is characterized as a dual‐functional antiviral effector. It directly mediates the degradation of the influenza A virus nucleoprotein (NP) while simultaneously activating the MDA5‐mediated innate immune signaling pathway. This coordinated response establishes a powerful host defense system against viral infection. ABSTRACT Influenza A virus (IAV)

Differences in Flavour Compounds and Key Metabolic Markers in High-Quality Broiler Rooster Breast Muscle Based on Broad-Target Metabolomics and Volatile Metabolomics

open access: yesFoods
Flavor is a pivotal indicator influencing the meat quality and palatability of premium broiler chickens, shaped by multiple factors. The flavor differences among broiler chicken breeds/lines stem from the specificity of their metabolite profiles and ...

NIBV Induces Incomplete Autophagy via AMPK‐TFEB, Causing Kidney Injury in Chicks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that NIBV can inhibit the nuclear translocation of TFEB by suppressing the expression of AMPK, leading to the blockade of autophagolysosomal functions, in turn increasing NIBV replication and triggering severe kidney injury in chicks.

Effectiveness of probiotics and clove essential oils in improving growth performance, immuno-antioxidant status, ileum morphometric, and microbial community structure for heat-stressed broilers

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Recently, interest has increased in using bio-additives, herbs, and their extracts as feed additives because of their potential role in improving chick's health and productivity, especially during stress. Thus, our aim in this study is to examine whether

Genome‐Wide Association Study Reveals Insect Genetics and Microbial Symbiont Effects on Susceptibility of Diaphorina citri to the Citrus Greening Pathogen, Candidatus Liberibacter Asiaticus

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates the genetic and microbial factors influencing the susceptibility of Diaphorina citri to the citrus greening pathogen Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CLas), employing a microbiome Genome Wide Association Study. The research identifies a key gene encoding an MFS‐type transporter contributing to CLas infectivity and abundance in

Diversity Patterns of Domestic Herbivore Viruses in China Reveal Transmission Dynamics with Disease Management Implications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study performs pan‐viromic profiling of 14,529 samples from 5,710 domestic herbivores across five Chinese provinces, establishing the DhCN‐Virome (1,085,360 viral metagenomes). It reveals species/sample‐specific viromic signatures and cross‐species transmission dynamics, aiding unified disease control.
