Clinicopathological and bacteriological studies on lamb bacterial enteritis and monitoring the oregano oil and vitamins A,D3,E effect on its treatment

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Veterinary and Animal Research, 2021
Objective: The objective of the study was to assess the effect of A,D3,E (I/M) and oregano oil extract 15% on some clinicopathological parameters during lamb bacterial enteritis treatment. Materials and Methods: Sixty Barki lambs, 20 apparently healthy (

A State‐Adaptive Koopman Control Framework for Real‐Time Deformable Tool Manipulation in Robotic Environmental Swabbing

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a state‐adaptive Koopman linear quadratic regulator framework for real‐time manipulation of a deformable swab tool in robotic environmental sampling. By combining Koopman linearization, tactile sensing, and centroid‐based force regulation, the system maintains stable contact forces and high coverage across flat and inclined surfaces.

Role of voluntary litter consumption by broiler chickens on gut function and gut health [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Poultry housed in floor pen systems are able and likely to consume litter materials from the floor. How consumption of different types of litter materials affects growth performance, nutrient digestibility, gut function and gut health in poultry is a ...

ChicGrasp: Imitation‐Learning‐Based Customized Dual‐Jaw Gripper Control for Manipulation of Delicate, Irregular Bio‐Products

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Automated poultry processing lines still rely on humans to lift slippery, easily bruised carcasses onto a shackle conveyor. Deformability, anatomical variance, and hygiene rules make conventional suction and scripted motions unreliable. We present ChicGrasp, an end‐to‐end hardware‐software co‐designed imitation learning framework, to offer a ...

Salmonellosis in Poultry

open access: yesPublic Health Reports (1896-1970), 1963
The sources most often incriminated in foodborne outbreaks of Salmonella infections in the United States are poultry and poultry products. During 1961, 20 outbreaks of salmonellosis were reported from 8 States. In 11 of these poultry or eggs were believed to be the source of infection. In five outbreaks the source was not determined (1).

Advances and Perspectives in Graphene‐Based Quantum Dots Enabled Neuromorphic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Graphene‐based QDs are zero‐dimensional carbon nanomaterials with pronounced quantum confinement and tunable electronic structures. Herein, we summarize their synthesis strategies and functionalization methods, and highlight their functional roles and operating mechanisms in devices, as well as recent advances in neuromorphic electronics. We anticipate

Studies on growth, carcass and meat quality traits in Aseel crosses suitable for small scale intensive broiler farming

open access: yesJournal of Applied Animal Research, 2020
The data on 837 birds representing five crosses (Aseel x PD-1, Aseel x PD-2, Aseel x PD-6, Aseel x PB-1 and Aseel x PB-2) survived up to 12 weeks of age were evaluated for various growth, meat quality, meat composition, sensory attributes and carcass ...
