A NOVEL THEORY OF REFERENCE REACTIVE CURRENT IDENTIFICATION BASED ON THE PER UNIT SYSTEM USED FOR THE ACTIVE FILTERS

open access: yesElectrica, 2008
This paper, presents a new method of reactive current identification. The principle is based on the transformation of the voltage and current of the electrical supply network to the per unit system.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Voltage Quality Factor for Networks Supplying Unbalanced Nonlinear Loads

open access: yes, 2005
While the common term for describing the harmonic content and the unbalanced loading of the three-phase supply is power quality, it is actually the quality of the voltage that is being addressed in most cases. The power supply system can only control

On Powerful Qualities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
The present work is a critical examination of the Powerful Qualities Ontology. Categoricalism affirms that intrinsic properties are quiddistic or qualitative in nature, and Pure Powers Theory affirms that they are by nature powerful. The Powerful Qualities Ontology, though, affirms that intrinsic properties are both qualitative and powerful, and that ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Addressing LV network power quality issues through the implementation of a microgrid

open access: yes, 2010
The results of the implementation of an actual microgrid in the Netherlands are presented. This microgrid has photovoltaic panels as microsources, energy storage, and a flexible AC distribution system (FACDS) that can operate connected to the public grid
