Antiplatelet activity of some prenylflavonoids

Biochemical Pharmacology, 1993
Eight naturally occurring prenylflavonoids were tested for their antiplatelet activities in rabbit platelet suspension. Cyclomorusin and artomunoxanthone showed strong inhibition of platelet-activating factor (PAF; 1-O-alkyl-2-acetyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) induced platelet aggregation.

Prenylflavonoids of Artocarpus heterophyllus

Phytochemistry, 1995
Abstract Six prenylflavonoids, including two new compounds, have been isolated from the root bark of Artocarpus heterophyllus . The new prenylflavones have been characterized as 8-(γ,γ-dimethylallyl)-5,4′-dihydroxy-7,2′-dimethoxyflavone and 3,3′-di-(γ,γ-dimethylallyl)-5,7,2′,5′-tetrahydroxy-4′-methoxyflavone, respectively.

New Prenylflavonoids from Artocarpus communis

Journal of Natural Products, 2003
Five new prenylflavonoids, artocommunols CA (1), CB (2), CC (3), CD (4), and CE (5), were isolated from the cortex of the roots of Artocarpus communis, along with the known compound cyclomorusin. The structures of 1-5 were determined by spectral methods.

New anti-pulmonary fibrosis prenylflavonoid glycosides from Epimedium koreanum

Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines, 2022
Four new prenylflavonoid glycosides, namely koreanoside H-K (1-4), together with eleven known ones (5-15) were isolated from the leaves of Epimedium koreanum Nakai. Their structures were elucidated by 1D NMR, 2D NMR, HR-ESI-MS, IR and UV. The identification of the sugar moieties was carried out by means of acid hydrolysis and HPLC analysis of their ...

C-prenylflavonoids from roots of Tephrosia tunicata

Phytochemistry, 2000
A 3',3'-di-(gamma,gamma-dimethylallyl)-2',4'-di-oxo-enolchalcone (tunicatachalcone) and five known C-prenylflavonoids were isolated and/or identified from the roots of Tephrosia tunicata. Their structures were established by spectral methods and chemical transformation.

Biotransformation of a major beer prenylflavonoid – isoxanthohumol

Zeitschrift für Naturforschung C, 2018
Abstract Microbial transformations of isoxanthohumol (1), a beer prenylated flavonoid, by 51 fungi were investigated. Many of the tested fungi cultures were capable of effective transformation of 1. Mucor hiemalis and Fusarium oxysporum converted isoxanthohumol (1) into isoxanthohumol 7-O-β-d-glucopyranoside (3) and (2R)-2″-(2 ...
