Error in skilled performance: a control model of prescribing

Ergonomics, 2003
A control model of skilled performance is proposed as a framework for understanding why prescribing errors occur at a particular rate. Model error rate depends on skill level, system design characteristics, the range of different types of prescriptions that are produced and the time available to complete each prescription.

The Prescribing Performance and Confidence of Final-Year Medical Students

Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics, 2014
It is widely believed that medical students are not as well prepared or as sufficiently skilled in prescribing as they should be at the outset of their careers. However, a preclinical context-learning pharmacotherapy program has been found to improve students' therapeutic skills during an ensuing clinical clerkship in internal medicine.(1) In this ...

Prescribed performance control of quadruped robot

2016 4th International Conference on Robotics and Mechatronics (ICROM), 2016
Due to the complex and high nonlinear structure of the quadruped robots, the dynamic control of quadruped robots has long been a big challenge for the researchers. In this paper, a guaranteed performance adaptive control algorithm is proposed for tracking control of a quadruped robot with parameter uncertainties. The controller is designed based on the

Approximation-Free Prescribed Performance Control

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2011
Abstract A universal controller is designed for strict feedback systems with unknown nonlinearities, capable of guaranteeing, for any a priori known initial state condition, bounded signals in the closed loop, as well as prescribed performance for the output tracking error.

User needs in the performance of prescribed home exercise therapy

CHI '12 Extended Abstracts on Human Factors in Computing Systems, 2012
Musculoskeletal disorders are a globally significant health problem affecting millions. Physiotherapy, including prescribed exercises performed independently by patients in their homes, is a key treatment for many sufferers. However, many fail to complete home exercises, prolonging recovery periods or accelerating decline. Pervasive health technologies,
