A study on factors leading to treatment interruption among TB patients at GHTM

open access: yesJournal of Association of Pulmonologist of Tamil Nadu, 2018
According to National drug resistance survey 2017, 36.82% of previously treated patients have resistance to at least one ATT drug. This observational study was undertaken to evaluate the reasons for treatment interruption among patients presenting with ...

HIV-1 drug resistance and molecular transmission network analysis of newly diagnosed people living with HIV in Beijing, China: a retrospective study from 2015 to 2023

open access: yesVirology Journal
Background Although the annual number of newly reported human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infections in Beijing has shown a continuous decline since 2016, the population of people living with HIV (PLWH) has maintained a persistent upward trend.

Development and emerging trends of drug resistance mutations in HIV: a bibliometric analysis based on CiteSpace

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
BackgroundAntiretroviral therapy has led to AIDS being a chronic disease. Nevertheless, the presence of constantly emerging drug resistance mutations poses a challenge to clinical treatment.

A Biofabricated Human Acinus‐on‐a‐Chip Unveils Mechanotransductive Drivers of Ventilator‐Induced Lung Injury via Decoupling Volutrauma and Barotrauma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This bioinspired acinus‐on‐a‐chip recapitulates VILI pathology, revealing that volutrauma drives P53/NF‐κB pathways while barotrauma triggers mitochondrial‐Wnt dysregulation. A fibrotic transitional cell cluster was identified. Pharmacological interventions targeting these pathways significantly ameliorated injury, establishing a mechanobiological ...

Streptococcal Mannose Phosphotransferase System Component IID Is a Novel RANK‐Binding Osteoclastogenic Factor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Streptococcal mannose phosphotransferase system component IID (Man‐PTSIID) is identified as a novel RANK‐binding osteoclastogenic factor. By directly binding to RANK and activating NF‐κB independently of TLR2, Man‐PTSIID drives osteoclastogenesis and inflammatory bone destruction, uncovering an unexpected microbial mechanism underlying streptococcal ...

Supramolecular Degraders: An Emerging Paradigm in Targeted Protein Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dynamic supramolecular assembly reshapes targeted protein degradation by coordinating modular degrader construction, delivery, functional integration, and intracellular assembly or activation across proteasomal, endosomal–lysosomal, and autophagy–lysosomal pathways.

Analysis of genotype resistance and HIV‐1 transmission risk in HIV‐1‐infected men who have sex with men in Guiyang, China

open access: yesImmunity, Inflammation and Disease
Background As the social economy has developed and population mobility has increased, differences in the Human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV‐1) genotype distribution among men who have sex with men (MSM) have become apparent in the provinces and ...

Targeting β2‐Adrenergic Receptor Stability With Lycorine Reveals a Host‐Directed Pathway for Antiviral Defense Against Poxviruses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chronic stress drives autophagy‐mediated β2‐AR degradation, impairing antiviral immunity and promoting poxvirus lethality. Lycorine directly stabilizes β2‐AR to restore host defense, suppress excessive inflammation and improve survival. ABSTRACT Psychological stress is a pervasive yet poorly understood modulator of infectious disease outcomes. Here, we

ZBTB18 Dysfunction Promotes Neuropathic Pain via CHD4‐based Epigenetic Disinhibition of CLIC1 Channels in Sensory Neurons

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, we identify a novel functional role of ZBTB18 in regulating trigeminal‐mediated neuropathic pain. Nerve injury reduces ZBTB18 in trigeminal ganglion neurons, impairing CHD4/NuRD recruitment and de‐repressing Clic1. Elevated CLIC1 enhances chloride channel activity and neuronal hyperexcitability, thereby driving pain.
