Guidelines for Diagnosis and Treatment of Primary Liver Cancer in China (2017 Edition)

open access: yesLiver Cancer, 2018
Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) (about 85–90% of primary liver cancer) is particularly prevalent in China because of the high prevalence of chronic hepatitis B infection.

Feedback Generates a Second Receptive Field in Neurons of Visual Cortex

open access: yesNature, 2020
Animals sense the environment through pathways that link sensory organs to the brain. In the visual system, these feedforward pathways define the classical feedforward receptive field (ffRF), the area in space in which visual stimuli excite a neuron 1 ...

PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Evaluation of Surveillance System for Adverse Drug Reaction Due to Antiretroviral Drugs, Mazowe District, Zimbabwe, 2021

open access: yesJournal of Interventional Epidemiology and Public Health
Introduction: Antiretroviral drugs (ARVs) are associated with the occurrence of adverse drug reactions (ADRs). The Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe requires that all ADRs be reported within 15 days of detection.

Topological gravity in genus $2$ with two primary fields [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics, 2000
We calculate the genus 2 correlation functions of two-dimensional topological gravity, in a background with two primary fields, using the genus 2 topological recursion relations.

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

International Union of Immunological Societies: 2017 Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases Committee Report on Inborn Errors of Immunity

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Immunology, 2017
Beginning in 1970, a committee was constituted under the auspices of the World Health Organization (WHO) to catalog primary immunodeficiencies. Twenty years later, the International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS) took the remit of this committee.

Free field realizations of 2D current algebras, screening currents and primary fields [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 1997
In this paper we consider Wakimoto free field realizations of simple affine Lie algebras, a subject already much studied. We present three new sets of results. (i) Based on quantizing differential operator realizations of the corresponding Lie algebras we provide general universal very simple expressions for all currents, more compact than has been ...

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by
