Primary Malignant Growths of the Trachea

Acta Oto-Laryngologica, 1961
Primary cancer of the trachea is a rare condition: between 1943 and 1959, 19 cases were seen at the Christie Hospital & Holt Radium Institute, 16 of these having histological proof. The main clinical findings are described and treatment is discussed. Results of treatment confirm the lethal nature of the disease—only one case of this series has lived ...

Multiple growths of primary calvarial meningiomas

Neurosurgery, 1991
Abstract The authors present the case of a 68-year-old woman with multiple growths of primary calvarial meningiomas. Histological examination revealed one tumor arising in the left parietal bone that showed some malignant aspects, including hypercellularity, cellular pleomorphism, necrotic foci, and some mitoses; the tumor partially had ...

Growth rates of primary breast cancers

Cancer, 1979
The growth rates of breast cancers are a critical aspect of the natural history of the disease. Growth rates of 32 primary breast cancers were determined from serial mammographic views of tumor nucleus shadows in a population of 109 cancers. These cancers were found in a screening population of 10,120 women receiving over 30,000 mammograms over 3 years.

Growth of Human Cytomegalovirus in Primary Macrophages

Methods, 1998
Human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) is a major human pathogen that causes considerable disease among immunocompromised individuals. A primary infection results in life-long persistence of the virus in a latent form. HCMV is known to be transferred by blood products, bone marrow, and solid organs, but the cell type that carries the latent infection has been ...

Primary structure of alpaca growth hormone

International Journal of Peptide and Protein Research, 1991
Reduced and carbamidomethylated alpaca growth hormone was submitted to tryptic digestion. Peptides in the mixture were purified by reverse phase HPLC and N‐terminal determination and an amino acid analysis of each was performed. Data obtained and the already known primary structure of the equine growth hormone allowed the assembly‐by homology‐of a ...

Revenue Growth is the Primary Benefit of the Cloud

IEEE Cloud Computing, 2018
Cloud computing is too often seen as a tactical way to reduce costs, when its most important benefit is as a strategic way to grow revenues. Such revenue growth can come about in a variety of ways, such as through faster innovation of new products, processes, and customer interactions; identifying more customers and closing more purchases; and ...

PRIMARY STRUCTURE OF EQUINE GROWTH HORMONE

International Journal of Peptide and Protein Research, 1976
The study of the structure of the peptides arising from native, oxidized, reduced and alkylated or citraconylated equine growth hormone on incubation with trypsin and chymotrypsin is reported. The data obtained, combined with results already published, support the assembly of a unique sequence of amino acids for the polypeptide chain of the protein.

Wing and Primary Growth of the Wandering Albatross

The Condor, 1999
We investigated the relationship between body mass and the rate and pattern of feather growth of the four outermost primaries of Wandering Albatross (Diomedea exulans) chicks. Maximum growth rates were similar (4.5 mm day-1) for all feathers and between sexes, although primaries of males were significantly longer than those of females.

Interstitial growth as an aggressive growth pattern in primary lung cancer

Journal of Cancer Research and Clinical Oncology, 2016
Interstitial growth (IG), which is defined as tumor cells continuously growing into the alveolar septa at the tumor periphery, was originally reported as a growth pattern of metastatic sarcoma of the lung. On the other hand, IG in the primary lung cancers has not been well described.
