Antidiabetic Effect of Tiger Nut and Coconut Blend in Experimental Type 2 Diabetic Rat Model

open access: yesPhytochemicals in Food and Medicine, Volume 1, Issue 4, December 2026.
The combination of tiger nut and coconut demonstrated antihyperglycemic, antihyperlipidemic, anti‐inflammatory, and antioxidant activities on type 2 diabetic rat model over a 4‐week treatment period. ABSTRACT Tiger nut and coconut are chewy and popularly consumed as food either alone, mixed, or paired with other fruits, seeds, and vegetables.

Astragaloside IV and Ferroptosis Modulation in Pathological Cardiac Hypertrophy: Current Evidence, an Integrative Hypothesis, and Future Directions

open access: yesPharmacology Research &Perspectives, Volume 14, Issue 6, December 2026.
ABSTRACT Pathological cardiac hypertrophy is initially an adaptive response to sustained mechanical, neurohormonal, or metabolic stress; however, it can progress to fibrosis, contractile dysfunction, arrhythmia, and heart failure. Ferroptosis is a type of regulated cell death caused by iron‐dependent phospholipid peroxidation.

Development and Validation of Two Analytical Methods Using High‐Performance Liquid Chromatography and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy for the Analysis of Tunisian Marketed Pharmaceutical Product‐Based Insulin and Zinc: Application in Routine Stability Study

open access: yesBiomedical Chromatography, Volume 40, Issue 11, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Given the widespread reliance on insulin among diabetic patients, ensuring its stability is an essential task not only for preserving its therapeutic efficacy but also for safeguarding patient health and safety. In addition, insulin storage practices were frequently misunderstood that may compromise drug potency.

In Silico Clinical Trials in Drug Development: Virtual Patients, Applications, and Regulatory Convergence

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 120, Issue 5, Page 1181-1194, November 2026.
Conventional clinical trials remain the benchmark for evaluating therapeutic safety and efficacy, yet they are constrained by escalating costs, withdrawal over the extended follow‐up periods, recruitment difficulties, ethical limits, and a restricted ability to characterize heterogeneous populations.

Toward a digital urinary biopsy for early risk stratification in diabetic kidney disease: Anchoring shed cells, vesicles, and cell‐free DNA to spatial kidney cell states

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 11, November 2026.
In diabetic kidney disease, one urine specimen carries shed cells, extracellular vesicles and cell‐free DNA released along the whole nephron. Reading all three against spatial kidney atlases is proposed as a testable route to cell‐resolved, non‐invasive risk stratification, and the clinical outputs shown are not yet demonstrated.
