Diabetic nephropathy with primary membranous nephropathy: A case report
Abstract Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is one of the most common microvascular diseases in diabetes. Primary membranous nephropathy (PMN) is one of the most common causes of nephrotic syndrome (NS) in adults. Incidence of DN and PMN are increasing. DN complicated with PMN is rarely reported. We report a case of DN with PMN.

Primary membranous glomerulonephritis-associated with schistosomal nephropathy
The association of bilharziasis with membranous nephropathy (MN) has long been debated. The relatively recent use of antibodies against the M-type phospholipase A2 receptor (PLA2R) has been proposed as a valuable tool to discriminate the idiopathic from secondary MNs.

Immune-Monitoring Disease Activity in Primary Membranous Nephropathy [PDF]
Primary membranous nephropathy (MN) is a glomerular disease mediated by autoreactive antibodies, being the main cause of nephrotic syndrome among adult patients. While the pathogenesis of MN is still controversial, the detection of autoantibodies against two specific glomerular antigens, phospholipase A2 receptor (PLA2R) and thrombospondin type 1 ...

Primary membranous nephropathy and its treatment: Past, present and future
Primary membranous nephropathy (PMN) is the most common cause of primary nephrotic syndrome. In the last few years scientific interest mainly focused on the search for new more effective and safer therapeutic strategies and on the guide to their use ...

Overlap of Primary Membranous Nephropathy, IgA Nephropathy, and Diabetic Nephropathy: A Case Report
The coexistence of primary membranous nephropathy (PMN), immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN), and diabetic nephropathy (DN) in the same patient has been a subject of clinical and pathological investigation, yielding inconclusive results. The limited availability of cases and resource materials has hindered a comprehensive understanding of this ...

Tacrolimus-induced epilepsy with primary membranous nephropathy
Abstract Rationale: Tacrolimus-associated neurologic disorders can be found in some cases, mainly in organ transplantation patients. However, epilepsy induced by tacrolimus in primary membranous nephropathy (PMN) patient is scare.

Membranous nephropathy is an immune kidney disease caused by IgG antibodies that form glomerular subepithelial immune complexes. Proteinuria is mediated by complement activation, as a result of podocyte injury by C5b-9, but the role of specific ...
