“Give me the sense that I matter:” Queer women’s recommendations for an ideal cervical cancer screening exam and pathways to screening equity

open access: yesWomen's Health
Background: Cervical cancer screening is a powerful tool in the prevention, early detection, and diagnosis of precancers and cancer. There is mounting evidence, however, demonstrating that Queer cisgender women experience disparities in cervical cancer ...

PALS/PRISM Software Design Description (SDD): Ver. 0.51 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This Software Design Description (SDD) provides detailed information on the architecture and coding for the PRISM C++ library (version 0.51). The PRISM C++ library supports consistent information sharing and in- teractions between distributed components ...

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Evaluation of Pediatric Intensive Care Patients and Factors Affecting Mortality

open access: yesJournal of Pediatric Emergency and Intensive Care Medicine, 2021
Introduction:Pediatric intensive care units (PICUs) are the places where there are advanced technologic substructures for critically ill patients to survive, an important teamwork is displayed, and remarkable knowledge and experience are required. The aim

In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Evaluation of the Performance of PRISM III and PIM II Scores in a Tertiary Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

open access: yesJournal of Pediatric Emergency and Intensive Care Medicine, 2023
Introduction: The most commonly used scoring systems for the assessment of predicted mortality (PDR) in the pediatric intensive care unit are the “pediatric risk of mortality” (PRISM) and the “pediatric index of mortality” (PIM) scores.

Radio numbers for generalized prism graphs

open access: yes, 2010
A radio labeling is an assignment $c:V(G) \rightarrow \textbf{N}$ such that every distinct pair of vertices $u,v$ satisfies the inequality $d(u,v)+|c(u)-c(v)|\geq \diam(G)+1$. The span of a radio labeling is the maximum value.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

The application of the right rectangular prism in the process determining the value of terrain correction [PDF]

open access: yesTehnika, 2015
The effects of topographic masses on gravity were determined for the territory of Serbia by using the digital terrain model with resolution of 1 arch second in both directions. For the effect of distant masses, i.e.
