ABSTRACT Diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a common complication of diabetes mellitus. This study investigated the effects of alogliptin on DCM and its underlying mechanisms. A DCM model was constructed and treated with alogliptin. Downstream targets of alogliptin were screened using bioinformatics analysis.

Cell Culture Substrate Variation Alters Extracellular Vesicle Biogenesis Without Affecting Non‐Coding Repeat RNA Profile

Cell culture biomechanical conditions influence extracellular vesicles (EVs) production in patient‐derived pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PDAC) cell lines. When grown in 3D conformation and in hydrogels with lower elasticity (0.5kPA), PDAC cells produce higher numbers of EVs, compared with cells grown in 2D on classic cell culture plastic.

Relationship between sleep and pain in Cavalier King Charles spaniels

Abstract Background Cavalier King Charles spaniels (CKCS) have a high frequency of chronic pain and may have abnormal sleep patterns. We hypothesised that CKCS with neuropathic pain (elevated NeP score) would have an increased nighttime restlessness (sleep and nighttime restless [SNoRE 3.0] score) and a worse quality of life (QOL).

Hox Gene Variation Drives Morphological Specialization of Humpback Grouper Cromileptes altivelis

Cromileptes altivelis exhibits a distinctive “sunken head and humpback” morphology, formed through cranial remodeling. Genetic analyses identified unique amino acid variants in Hoxa7a and Hoxa10b, with functional tests confirming their role in enhancing osteoblast activity and driving cranial remodeling.
