PRL-3 is differentially localized in colorectal cancer cells when tagged versus untagged using nanobody 19.

open access: yes, 2023
HCT116 cells were either transfected with (A-B) empty vector, (C) CMV:3XFLAG-PRL-3, (D) CMV:GFP-PRL-3, or (E) CMV:PRL-3. Cells were blocked with 2% BSA and stained with 1:1000 1 mg/mL nanobody 19 followed by 1:400 Alexa Fluor® 594-AffiniPure Goat Anti ...

PRL-3 is differentially localized in colorectal cancer cells when tagged versus untagged using nanobody 91.

open access: yes, 2023
HCT116 cells were either transfected with (A-B) empty vector, (C) CMV:3XFLAG-PRL-3, (D) CMV:GFP-PRL-3, or (E) CMV:PRL-3. Cells were blocked with 2% BSA and stained with 1:1000 1 mg/mL nanobody 26 followed by 1:400 Alexa Fluor® 594-AffiniPure Goat Anti ...

Protein purification and immunoprecipitation controls for detecting 3XFLAG-PRL-3, CBS-HA, and nanobody 91-His interactions.

open access: yes, 2023
(A) Immobilized metal affinity chromatography purification of 3XFLAG-PRL-3, with an expected size of 25 kDa. FT2, W1-W5 were concentrated together for final protein amounts.

PRL: historie intymne

open access: yesTeksty Drugie, 2021
Having outlined notions of the intimate public sphere (Lauren Berlant), imperial politics of intimacy (Ann Laura Stoler) as well as cultural definitions of intimacy (Eva Illouz, Anthony Giddens, Michael Herzfeld), Siewior presents intimate narratives from the era of the Polish People’s Republic (PRL) in songs, reportage and films which deconstruct the ...

Inhibition of rat prolactin (PRL) storage by coexpression of human PRL [PDF]

open access: yesMolecular Endocrinology, 1994
GH4C1 cells increase storage of rat PRL and accumulation of dense core secretory granules when they are treated with 300 nM insulin, 1 nM estradiol, and 10 nM epidermal growth factor. In the experiments reported here, intracellular rat PRL increased from 4% of the total amount produced in 24 h in control cultures to 15% in treated cultures.

Nanobodies are specific for PRL-3 over the other PRL family members.

open access: yes, 2023
(A) Schematic of the process of generating and isolating anti-PRL-3 nanobodies (Created with BioRender.com). (B) Binding of each histidine-tagged nanobody (NB, at a concentration of 6.22 pmol) to 5 pmol PRL-1, PRL-2, or PRL-3 in 96-well plates.

Inhibition of Prolactin (PRL)-Induced Proliferative Signals in Breast Cancer Cells by a Molecular Mimic of Phosphorylated PRL, S179D-PRL [PDF]

open access: yesEndocrinology, 2003
Abstract Posttranslational modifications of prolactin (PRL), including phosphorylation, vary with physiologic state and alter biologic activity. In light of the growing evidence for a role for PRL in proliferation in mammary cancer, we examined the ability of a mimic of phosphorylated human PRL, S179D-PRL, to initiate signals to several ...

Dopamine as a Prolactin (PRL) Inhibitor [PDF]

open access: yesEndocrine Reviews, 2001
Dopamine is a small and relatively simple molecule that fulfills diverse functions. Within the brain, it acts as a classical neurotransmitter whose attenuation or overactivity can result in disorders such as Parkinson's disease and schizophrenia. Major advances in the cloning and characterization of biosynthetic enzymes, transporters, and receptors ...

Kinetics of nanobody binding to PRL-3.

open access: yes, 2023
Phosphatase of Regenerating Liver-3 (PRL-3) is associated with cancer progression and metastasis. The mechanisms that drive PRL-3’s oncogenic functions are not well understood, partly due to a lack of research tools available to study this protein.
