A generalization of the charge iteration procedure
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1997Charge iteration is an FEM procedure, devised by the authors for the computation of electrical fields in open boundary domains. In the procedure, a closed fictitious boundary is introduced enclosing all the conductors. On this boundary the electrical potential is first guessed and then iteratively improved according to the current solution by means of ...

General Multistage Gatekeeping Procedures
Biometrical Journal, 2008AbstractA general multistage (stepwise) procedure is proposed for dealing with arbitrary gatekeeping problems including parallel and serial gatekeeping. The procedure is very simple to implement since it does not require the application of the closed testing principle and the consequent need to test all nonempty intersections of hypotheses. It is based

A General Procedure for Generation of Curved DNA Molecules
Journal of Biomolecular Structure and Dynamics, 1988A general method for generation of base-pairs in a curved DNA structure, for any prescribed values of helical parameters--unit rise (h), unit twist (theta), wedge roll (theta R) and wedge tilt (theta T), propeller twist (theta p) and displacement (D) is described.

Computerised Procedure Generation
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1998Abstract This paper reports from a project to develop a system for computerised procedure generation. The purposes of the system are to ensure procedures that are consistent and complete, and to facilitate the revision of procedures caused by changes to the plant.

On a generalization of the LTR procedure
2011 Chinese Control and Decision Conference (CCDC), 2011The LQG/LTR procedure is a classical means to desensibilize a system in closed-loop with respect to disturbances and system uncertainty. We discuss an extension of LTR which can be applied in more general situations. As an example, we show that PID controllers can be robustified with this approach.

Skin procedures in general practice
Australian Journal of General PracticeMost skin cancers diagnosed in Australia, including melanomas, are identified and managed in a primary care setting. Most skin cancers have the diagnosis confirmed by histopathology, and surgical excision is the most common form of treatment. Therefore, it is important that all primary care doctors in Australia are competent and confident in the ...

Automated generation of electronic procedures: procedure constraint grammars
Decision Support Systems, 2002This paper focuses on a generalization of the notion of electronic trade procedures. Instead of designing specific trade procedures for each possible variation of a transaction, we develop a generative grammar formalism that defines entire families of related trade procedures.

A number of uncommon and exotic applications of SSA are discussed. First, a case is considered where the elements of the data matrix are comparable only within certain blocks. Second, an approach to processing replicated data without prior averaging is introduced.
