Implementation Of L-System In Procedural City Generation Using Java
Article discusses about the design and implementation of procedural content generation using java, especially the generation of virtual city. It is applied by using L-System to generate the elements of the city and also using some images as the base ...

Procedural content generation method for creating 3D graphic assets in Digital Twin
The concept of Digital Twin was invented not only for a static virtual mimic of reality, but also means an evolving digital copy which could stay consistent with its physical counterpart.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

A Survey on the Procedural Generation of Virtual Worlds
This survey presents algorithms for the automatic generation of content for virtual worlds, in particular for games. After a definition of the term procedural content generation, the algorithms to generate realistic objects such as landscapes and ...

Generalized Group Testing Procedures
A person wishes to determine which, if any, of $n = \Pi^k_{j=1} a_j$ i.i.d. random variables, $X(i_1,\cdots, i_k), i_j = 1,\cdots, a_j$, lie in some specified set $A$. Such observations will be called unsafe. It is assumed that the density of the $X$'s is known and that $Y_j(i_1,\cdots, i_j)$, the sum of all the $X$'s whose first $j$ indices are $i_1 ...

Learning the Designer's Preferences to Drive Evolution
This paper presents the Designer Preference Model, a data-driven solution that pursues to learn from user generated data in a Quality-Diversity Mixed-Initiative Co-Creativity (QD MI-CC) tool, with the aims of modelling the user's design style to better ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Introducing new constructs for data modelling and column generation in LP modelling languages [PDF]
Through popular implementation of structured query language (SQL) and query-by-example(QBE) relational databases have become the de-facto industry standard for data modelling. We consider the indices, sets, and the declarative form of Linear Programming ...

Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...
