Unprocessed snRNAs Are a Prognostic Biomarker and Correlate with a Poorer Prognosis in Colorectal Cancer [PDF]
The human Integrator complex is a set of 15 subunits that mediates processing of small nuclear RNAs (snRNAs), and which later participates in splicing messenger RNAs (mRNAs). In addition, it controls the pause and release of RNA polymerase II (RNA pol II)

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Ovarian carcinoma subtypes are different diseases: implications for biomarker studies. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Although it has long been appreciated that ovarian carcinoma subtypes (serous, clear cell, endometrioid, and mucinous) are associated with different natural histories, most ovarian carcinoma biomarker studies and current treatment protocols ...
