Effect of drought stress on yield, proline and chlorophyll contents in three chickpea cultivars
Drought stress is one of the major abiotic stresses in agriculture worldwide. This study was carried out to investigate the effect of drought stress on proline content, chlorophyll content, photosynthesis and transpiration, stomatal conductance and yield

Synthesis of citrulline and arginine from proline in enterocytes of postnatal pigs
The synthesis of ornithine, citrulline, and arginine from proline was quantified in enterocytes of newborn (0-day-old) pigs, 2- to 21-day-old suckling pigs, and 29- to 58-day-old pigs weaned at 21 days of age. Mitochondria were prepared from enterocytes

This review highlights how Phytophthora sojae utilizes unconventional lineage‐specific signaling networks, including unique G protein‐coupled receptor fusions, expanded kinases, and rapidly evolving effectors, to infect soybeans. Understanding these divergent molecular paradigms reveals critical vulnerabilities in this destructive pathogen, offering ...

Synthesis of Fluorinated Proline Analogs for the Potential Inhibition of Proline Oxidase
Proline oxidase is an enzyme that has been isolated from the inner membrane of rat liver mitochondria. It is the catalyst in the first step of the metabolic pathway for proline-glutamate interconversion.

The characterisation of barley and wheat oxalate oxidases expressed in transgenic plants [PDF]
Oxalate oxidase is a water soluble, thermolabile, homo-oligomeric glycoprotein the synthesis of which marks the onset of germination In wheat and barley embryos. The protein Is also highly abundant In barley roots.

The continuing significance of chiral agrochemicals
In the time frame 2018–2023, around 43% of the 35 chiral agrochemicals introduced to the market (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, and nematicides) contain one or more stereogenic centers in the molecule, and almost 69% of them have been marketed as racemic mixtures of enantiomers or stereoisomers.

PPARgamma and Proline Oxidase in Cancer.
Proline is metabolized by its own specialized enzymes with their own tissue and subcellular localizations and mechanisms of regulation. The central enzyme in this metabolic system is proline oxidase, a flavin adenine dinucleotide-containing enzyme which is tightly bound to mitochondrial inner membranes.
