Pharmacokinetics and safety of tezepelumab in children with mild, moderate or severe asthma and adolescents with mild‐to‐moderate asthma

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Aim Tezepelumab is a human monoclonal antibody that blocks the activity of thymic stromal lymphopoietin and is approved for adolescents and adults with severe asthma. This analysis assessed pharmacokinetics (PK), pharmacodynamics and safety of tezepelumab up to 85 days postdose in adolescents and children.

Metabolic Flux Analysis Reveals Cell Line‐Specific Rewiring in CHO Cells Following TCA Cycle Intermediate Feeding for Bioprocess pH Control

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells are the leading host for recombinant therapeutic protein production in the biopharma industry. In this study, we investigated how feeding acidic forms of tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle intermediates—malic acid, succinic acid, and α‐ketoglutaric acid—affects cell culture performance and metabolism in two ...

Shape‐directed formation of T8/T6 Zn–siloxane clusters and their deep‐UV shielding properties

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Chemical Society, EarlyView.
The shape and conformational characteristics of silane substituents direct the assembly of Zn–siloxane clusters into conventional T8 or rare T6 siloxane frameworks. Non‐planar cyclic substituents selectively promote T6 formation through steric effects, while the resulting clusters exhibit deep‐ultraviolet absorption and can be processed into ...

Targeting neutrophil extracellular traps in metabolic and immune niche: Nanomaterials for diabetes tissue regeneration

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
The effects of NETs on regeneration of various diabetic tissues, and strategies targeting NETs for diabetes tissue regeneration. In the diabetic environment, NETs undergo complex metabolic and immune reprogramming, leading to dynamic changes in antibacterial and proinflammatory functions, and affecting regeneration of multiple systemic tissues.

Propionate

open access: yes, 2010

Pt‐TiO2 mesoporous nanosystem co‐delivering phlorezin enables synergistic sonodynamic‐chemoimmunotherapy for hepatocellular carcinoma via directly targeting DDX5 and metabolic reprogramming modulation

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Abstract Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), ranking as the third leading cause of cancer‐related mortality globally, continues to pose significant therapeutic challenges. Here, we developed an innovative nanosystem, Phl@PT, based on Pt‐TiO2 nanoparticles for the co‐delivery of Phlorezin, presenting a novel approach for HCC treatment through sonodynamic ...

Fecal Microbiota Transplantation and Microbiota‐Based Therapeutics in Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation: Current Evidence and Future Directions

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
The intestinal microbiome is a key regulator of immune homeostasis, metabolism, and epithelial barrier integrity. In patients with malignant hematological diseases, particularly those undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, microbiome perturbations by reduced diversity, pathobiont expansion, and loss of beneficial metabolites are common as ...

Detection of Testosterone Esters in Urine: Evidence of Trace‐Level Detectability in Doping Control Samples

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.
An ultrasensitive LC‐MS/MS method for detecting testosterone esters (T‐esters) in urine at sub–pg/mL levels is presented. This approach, employing Girard P derivatization, provides the first evidence of T‐esters' trace‐level detectability in human urine.

Photoreversible Polyurea Actuators With Spatiotemporal Control and Adaptive Mechanics

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
A light–thermal responsive polyurea network incorporating reversibly dimerizable anthracene units enables spatiotemporal modulation of cross‐linking density and nearly 400‐fold stiffness tuning. Integrating programmable anisotropy, photopatterning, self‐healing, and photowelding within a single framework, this bioinspired “one network–multifunction ...
